card was at the top of the deck to begin with, when he shuffled the deck the top card remained at the top still (never really mixed the cards). and when he cut the deck he slid the card from the top to the middle with his thumb.. (you can even hear the card being slid).... i dont think i ruined the mystery behind this trick since its an obvious one. still took me a few rewinds to catch it though lol.

Theres infinite ways to force a card to be picked, but slip force is the technique I use, and used by Penn here.

This trick, in various guises, has been a feature of Penn and Teller's work for as long as I can remember seeing them perform. It's one of the earliest card tricks I learned and I still remember it today.

Other long time fans of P&T will also have chuckled at the long-running joke that popped up in this version as in all those I've seen before it.

You can always count on these guys for a strange reveal.

I think I made it appear eight or nine different ways. When you can't think of one amazing way, just do loads of normal ones! It's the simplest trick ever if you use svengali cards or not. It's mostly about how you reveal it.

There's not a single trick that doesn't involve sleeving all manner of assorted junk. That's why you never see a magician's hands go below their waist - all their props, vanished items and those to be magically produced are in there and they'd all fall out otherwise.

@lightbluepianoman They always force a 3 of Clubs, and it is their deliberate choice at least on TV. There is actually a good clip from an old show of theirs on YouTube. Just search for Penn Teller three of clubs and you'll find it. Penn said himself in an interview it is because it looks best on camera. A small number to compute and it stands out.
