Uh, I'm a Green Bay Packer fan and we endured a far greater, far more devastating loss than the 49ers and I did not react this way nor did I feel like it was the end of the world. I wasn't crying although the area was dead silent that night after the loss (Win for the Giants) and was rooting for the 49ers but ultimately, despite a double-whammy disappointment, I'm so thrilled that the Giants humiliated Belichick, TWICE now in the Super Bowl. :)

@evangore The Lineman wasn't illegal, they thought he was at first, but later they realized he was an eligible receiver. So there would not have been any off-setting penalities. It would've been a replay of the that down + 15 yards closer for the pass interference. But that's in the past, the GIANTS got some retribution for that bad call a few weeks ago and went on to win it all.

It should have been off-setting penalties.One bad call gave the Niners the game. That is not how I want to win.There is no pride in winning on a bad call. But 3 FLUKE plays? That is even worse than a single referees mistake. Those happen to everybody.Honest, objective Giants fans know it took 3 FLUKE plays for the Giants to win.

@evangore The Lineman wasn't illegal, they thought he was at first, but later they realized he was an eligible receiver. So there would not have been any off-setting penalities. It would've been a replay of the that down + 15 yards closer for the pass interference. But that's in the past, the GIANTS got some retribution for that bad call a few weeks ago and went on to win it all.

The refs are human beings who make mistakes every once in a while. Most players and fans accept that there will be a bad call here and there. But equating an occassional bad call with 3 FLUKE plays in a single game is just DENIAL. YOU WANT TO BELIEVE that the Giants deserved winning. But most objective observers know it was a FLUKE.

@evangore 2 of 4 If you remember there was Pass Interference on the Last play of that game. There was a flag thrown, but it was for an illegal man downfield instead of pass intereference. The next day the officials admitted they made a mistake. The officials, along with the GIANTS defense, cost the GIANTS that game. You can see the pass interference clear as day on that video. Karma's a bitch isn't it, and she came through to correct the wrong call against the GIANTS that happen 10 years ago.
