  • That Land Rover needs a wax job!!

  • wow

  • Insane quality, if it wasn't for the cost...

  • NICE VID...

  • How did you get this to load so well? I have the Vixia HF100, which is HD and am using Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus, which is attached to my YouTube account. When I upload a video, it is completely degraded. So how did you do this and what format does your camera use?

  • @bptryp

The vixia HF-100 has a slightly smaller lens along with a few more watered down stuff compared to the HF-S10 which is newer. but the quality shouldn't be that different. Never used the software your using (i'm using FCP) but convert the video into H.264 at 1080 by 1920 resolution, give youtube a few hours to process and theres your video in 1080 HD!

  • is it just me or do movements on this camera make the whole video look amature and slow

  • Thank you for posting, was looking at purchasing this camera and the footage looks great even on here, I can only imagine the real thing at this point. :)

  • holy shit this is what i am looking for!!!

  • I just bought the S10, can't wait for the battery to charge so I can play with it :)

  • Does this camera have good manual focus? like with a focus ring along the edge of the lense?

  • sony hvr hd 1000u is better but thats because its PROFESSIONAL not AMATEUR

  • but it doesn't make an AMATEUR a PROFESSIONAL

  • Which one is better s10 or s11? I can't decided. Help me please.

    Thanks

  • s11 just have 64gb internal memory, the s10 has 32gb.

  • Thanks, I am going to get the s10 then, I only need one to make youtube videos. I am sure I am not going to use all of its memory for one video lol.

  • s11

  • @CasualLuxuries

i just got the s10 yesterday. the s10 is much better for the price. the s11 has a little bit better image stabilization, but its like 200 dollars more. over all, the s10 is a much smarter buy.

  • Thank you for sharing :) But what is an image stabilization? Is that better for still image or for video recording?

    Thank you

  • @CasualLuxuries

image stabilization is making the videos you record less shaky. both the s10 and the s11 have great image stabilization, but the s11's is a little bit better. the s10 definitely has good stabilization and i think its not worth the extra money for the s11.

  • But if you put the camcord on a tripod, it shouldn't be the problem right?

  • @CasualLuxuries

    correct

  • Cool, thank you so much. I will get this one :)

    Take Care

  • @CasualLuxuries

    Your welcome (:

have fun with your new camera.

  • @MaxsonFilms Thank and you as well.

  • Canon Vixia HF S10 does not have good image stabilization. I own it and only problem that this camera has is stabilization. Sony has much better one. HF S11 has improved it but people say Sony still does it far better. Sony HDR-XR520V even has better low light performance but Canon has m ore manual options and 30p and 24p. So, for tourist Sony is better, for advanced shooter and film maker Canon is better.

  • Mainly for video, but for the 200 dollars more that Maxson is talking about for the FS11, you may as well get yourself a steadycam and avoid altogether the jerkiness of hand-held shooting. :)

  • Thank you :)

  • this is my favorite video. I bought the same camcorder.. but these photos are amazingly beautiful.

  • what was the record speed and the final edit out put fram rate thanks

  • both video and audio quality with this camcorder is AMAZING i was not expecting it to be this good, and on YOUTUBE where they usually make vids look worse than they actually are. this camcorder is a definite possibility for me, simply awesome :) THANK YOU

  • wuts the battery life like on this thing??????????

  • The standard battery life is one hour in recording mode (records all the time)

  • DFoes the picture lose quality or get blurry when you zoom in?

  • not unless you go way too fast and have auto focus on!

  • near the bottom there is (i think) a little scrolling thing that adjusts focus

  • Why all pictures from hd cameras shake and twitching if you move camera?????????? I dont see any hd camera which have smooth picture in motion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know my HF10 does it too :(

  • it might be your computer

  • The only way to avoid this is with Film my friend, still the best quality in motion as it is not compressed at a high rate.

  • Did you use a 35mm adapter? Or the stock lens?

  • Hi, how much flash memory did you put in it and how much can you record on it?

  • With a 32GB card, it records for 12 hours on LP, or 3 hours at full HD resolution.

  • Amazing! Did you upload the file striaght to youtube or do some editing...?

  • How do you do the effect where its blurry, then it focus's?

a reply would be helpful, thanks.

  • manual focus.

  • is that a comment saying it does have manual focus? cuz if so then i think i found the camera i was looking for

  • it does have a manual focus it has a wheel that u spin

  • It also has a joystick you can use for the focus.

  • i would also like to know this.

  • can u do another shoot.. this was so beautiful but brief. i want to see more the colors with this camcorder.

  • Most of my recent videos are shot with this same camera. Check out my DOF test for the HF s10

  • this is awsome.. what a beautiful quality.. i am going to buy this camcorder. i can see the difference between this and the 2.3 megapixel vixia hf10..

  • why is it better?

  • le zoom !!! AAHHH it's a shame!! or is it a probleme with codec or manipulation?

(at this price it's not allowed) otherwise it the same with sanyo hd2000 a camera (cost half :(()

  • You do realize that the image stabilization on the s10 is light years better than the hd2000 don't you?

  • can you please tell me if the sound in the video is from the built in microphone

  • Can you do me a favor and let me know what export settings you used when sending this video to you tube? I have tried just about everything out there and my videos still look so so. Thank you.

  • have you worked with the hv30/20/40 as well. I am curious about a comparison between the hfs and the hv30. Thanks

  • how is this camera in low light situations?

  • as good (actually even a little worse) as the hv30 as so I am told.

  • Great footage! Thank you!

  • is the hv30 better ?

  • yes

  • how much does it cost???

  • 12,000 USD

  • MSRP is $1299, though the HFS-100 is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper and otherwise identical except for the lack of built-in flash memory.

  • Thanks for the response. Which program do you use?

  • Great Vid. Picture Quality looks awesome! I'm looking to buy this camera but I wanted to know a few things:

Q1: Does it have the "Time Lapse" recording feature? I would like to record sunsets, sunrises, etc.

Q2: Does it have the "Slow Motion" capture feature? And if so, does can it record in HD? I would love to use it for to record myself swinging the golf stix.

Any help would be much oblige!

  • You would do both of those things in software.

  • Technically it can be made for some nice TimeLapse stuff even though it's not made for it, I have a 32 gig HF11 and I love it. Setting the resolution on high (getting the best quality) and everything else on low, you can get quite a bit of footage, around 12 hours on the built in hard drive. I just tried some this morning but since I had a time crunch and a space crunch I couldn't pull it in and had to delete it. But I did get a preview of what it would do and I was very satisfied.

  • What about sound quality?

  • i read a review on Canon's website, says one of several cons to this is poor sound quality =[ if it has a jack for an external mic that would compensate

  • There is a jack for an external mic as well as the Canon Advanced Hot-Shoe on top of the camera for a shotgun mic.

  • Oh ma gawd, that's fucking awesome picture quality!

  • Looks great, how does the macro mode work? I would use the camera to do close ups on cell phones. Don't want there to be any blur.

  • yeah, nice color

  • That looks great.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • what converter did you use for this?

  • This was done in Premiere Elements 7.

  • yippy thats what I use!

  • Looks awesome...
