  • ... thats just childsplay ...

  • nice!!

  • you're sick

  • gay

  • @curt2988 so are you

  • the idea of it being under water is you get all the air out before you fill it, so you submerse it (filling it with water) and as your perfect mix of pure oxygen and acetaline floats ip into the drum, no air can lean out the mix. also these oil drums are prety air tight but i have also tryed a stainless beer keg at 70 psi (but i replaced the filling valve at the top with a solid plug) which can be reused on your next keg if you ever find it ;D

  • haha!!! sounds like a party poper compared to HHO Blowing up! hahahaha

  • =/ your torch tip is dirty

    It's poppin

    Please be safe with acetylene

I know it may look fun, but is it worth the potential mangling?

  • Pass.

Too much work and math for a boom that can kill easily. also, drums are not airtight unless it is a single cast object.

Also think about the weight needed to sink said object

  • are car engines single cast ? but there air tight right ? so check out my vids mr cheese !

  • Engines are not airtight.

For them to work, there has to be as little of a leak as possible,so gasket are used allowing the parts to be removed for service. Don't try to outsmart me, you cant.

  • a scooba tank can hold pressure, my oil drum can too ! and did ! my vid outsmarted you 2 weeks ago !!! i win ;) five stars please ;D

  • i will upload some videos of where we get a standard 300litre plastic wheelie bin, turn it upside down so the lid is on the ground, then we fill it with the gas mixture through a hole in the base of the bin then light a piece of wd40 soaked string and run like hell

  • naah

that's a nice way to light a bonfire tho

  • fill a trash bag up with it and make a vid of that.

  • wouldnt work, the container needs to survive for as long as possible for a good bang

if it fails too easily the explosion just doesnt work

  • lol, you should look up 'acetylene bag' on youtube. a garbage bag full definately creates a large boom. just enjoy the other vids, dont want you to blow yourself up.

  • dont lie....

  • pool toys work awesome

  • pool toys work great

  • @gadget666 It'll work, trust me. You just have to get the mix right.

The danger with a trash bag (or other large volumes of gas) is static electricity,an accidental detonation could be fatal.

  • @PhattyMo acetylene is quite unstable, a fun trick my buds and i use is to fill up a balloon then tie a rock to it and sink it.. once it sinks below the right depth to create a pressure over 15 psi, she'l blow without any ignition source

  • @LDB37 thanks for the tip, I might try that

  • @gadget666 weaaakkk

try filling up a balloon with as much acetylene as possible.. then tie it off and tie a rock to it.. then throw it in a lake or river or what have you. once the balloon sinks down far enough it will blow up with no external source of ignition! boom!

  • it is just amasing how loud the explosion is. if you are close enough, you can fell the shock wave hit your body.

  • yeah i had a heart attack from just the head phones!

  • the video really doesnt do the bang justice, you have to cover your ears or you cant hear for a minute or so afterwards

  • kool

  • cleva technique but there has to be a better way of ignition say a small current through steel wool

  • or an old spark plug.

what we use for bigger ones is a wick made from a sheet of newspaper, I will get dad to make one

  • yes very cleva indeed ahh yeah! ahh yeah! ahh yeah! ahh yeah!

  • wrap some fuse wire around a match head or for these acetaline bombs simply crush the glass of any 12V light globe (not breaking the philement) and put it inside, they NEVER fail!
