wtf he climb the pole then set off the flare gun then slip off the pole and die? I thought the priest said he couldn't die because he has fate in god? Well there go that theory. Well he did touch her boob and was staring at them with lust, oh well.
cut the sail he said, and i did with a firm grasp. i gotta get the engine started he yelled, and i said yes, yes! and the priest took the wheel and told me not to worry, everything will be all right. and then "it" happened. "it". there was a flash of lightning, hands everywhere trying to...and when i came too, it was calm, and i knew we were still in the devil's place.
I ,too, was terrified by this film as a child. And, though I only saw it once, it has stayed with me all these years. I'm really glad I finally get to see it again.
And I think the pace is great ,with a steady build-up. And the pervasive atmosphere is far better than most of todays' horror films.
@gothkid1989 The jolt of the ship, so far as I can tell, shot him up through the hatch and must have broken all sorts of important bones and things on impact
