I grew up in a religious household raised by a traditional heterosexual couple. I still came out messed up because there was no love in my family, and didn't feel mentally, emotionally, and physically safe there. I would have prefered it to be raised by a gay or lesbian parents if they could have treated and raised me in a more loving way. There really is no proof that a heterosexual household builds up stronger families.
Marriage can only be in God. You have to use another word for the union of homosexuals. Otherwise it is very offensive to most people for: "homosexuality is abomination"
@slonamu If homosexuality is an "abomination" as you claim, since its in the bible, then keeping slaves is ok, according to the bible, which stipulates how you should beat your own slaves, how much to sell them for, what to do with their siblings, and no, don't try the fallacy that "slavery was different in the old days", slavery is slavery as it was back then, as homosexuality was homosexuality back in the old days as well. If your basis for gay hate, is a fairy tale book then I pity you.
I never wrote I hate anyone. I knew I will be misunderstood. All I said is that the language to address the union of homosexuals have to sensitive to religious people and then hopefully there will be less hate. But judging from you post - Religious people will allays be hated for their believes. Please educate yourself about the bible first before calling it a fairy tale. The new testament is full with eyewitness accounts. Furthermore to trow the slavery in a mix is very cheap shot.
@slonamu Im not throwing any cheap shots at you, you claimed that homosexuality is an abomination, I then pointed out that the bible tells you how to manage your slaves, and yes I have read that book, which has many contradictions, as for the eywitnesses, well, I have also heard of people being witness to U.F.Os, big foot, and the lochness monster, but until you can provide solid evidence for the things mentioned in the bible, it remains a book of myths.
@slonamu Correction: Religious people will always look for something to pretend to be "offended" about, since playing the "I'm offended"-card is the only argument they have.
The bible *is* a fairy tale. All "eyewitness reports" were written many decade after by people whose accounts contradict each other.
So you would like me to respect your feelings, but you refuse to respect me then? Regardless your idea of the bible is not based on first hand reading, but you have read what someone recited and invented about the bible. There are no contradictions in the bible - that is made up fact with absolutely no bases in the writings of it. I urge you to read it yourself before you speak about it. You know there is God, you are just afraid to admit it because you will have to change then.
@slonamu I can provide you many examples of biblical contradictions. There are actually hundreds of such contradictions. Here are just a small sampling:
GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.
GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created.
GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.
Please educate yourself to quantum mechanics. You will see that in the grand scheme of things time does not exist. Your arguments are faulty - based on simple: flat earth" - classical mechanics understanding of the world. Further - Many things we do not know yet. Yet so far cutting edge science confirms the bible.
Light is used as a metaphor for the truth. But, if you take it literally - quantum mechanics says that cause and effect do not have to come in that order.
Again - time does not exist we are all in one time space and time is only illusion mortal and sinful men have invented. Also it is how the story is told. You mention some things in this chapter and more things in the next... Not very difficult to get - is it? Please try to read more of the Bible, but the first 3 pages. Concentrate on the New Testament - will do you good.
Why are we still talking about this? Just do it.

gays and lesbians are not the only ones left who are discriminated by the state. transgendered people are very greatly discriminated against.
