  • Incredibly poignant. Heifetz and Piatigorsky rule.

  • WOW.. great piece..

  • wow...

  • I used to play this duet with my mother when I was younger. It's wonderful to hear it performed so beautifully. Thanks for a wonderful post!

  • One tends to forget--with time passing--what a glorious sound and style Piatigorsky had. I heard him live in concerto and chamber music performances years ago. His playing was only surpassed by his story telling!

Many thanks for this haunting music .

  • I have the CD with the Dvorak trio Op.65 but not with the Passacaglia and Glière. Lovely duet, never heard it before!

  • I used to listen to a beautiful piece by Reingold Glier when I was very young - Concerto Allegro in d-minor, performed by Boris Goldenstein. I was five, and still remember the beauty of this music through the crackles of the worn out vinyl. I wish somebody can post it on YouTube some day...

  • REINHOLD RULES!!

  • Many thanks for giving the chance to hear this-had never heard this before and I find it haunting and beautiful.

  • You're very welcome. I had the exact same reaction when I first heard it. It's an amazing piece.
