I didn't like Indian food until I had some home made by an Indian woman in my painting class at University... She made a fantastic rice dish, perfectly seasoned, just a touch of spice from the curry. It was phenomenal, but the only Indian food I've tried that I really liked.

I know GR is not only trying to safe some restaurants but also make money with these series. But you can see he is no dumm fuck with his aproach, pressing buttons on people and management. the hard but right way. You can see that people first hate him but are gratefull in the end. Really good Indian food is wonderful, but you sometimes get scabby imitations like you do with any cuisine, so it's best to try food from different places before deciding if you hate a whole culture's food just on one dish.

Perhaps you haven't eaten at a really good East Indian restaurant. There is a method to eating the food so that you don't burn your insides if you go with a spicy hot food lunatic. There are dishes you can try that are not spicy hot. This cuisine is some of the best I have ever tasted IMHO.

I live in a place next to where they built a technology center a couple years ago for computer companies. In two years, about 30 Indian restaurants opened and 10 Indian grocery stores in a 10 mile radius. It feels more like Bombay than the US and the drivers are TERRIBLE! Kids play cricket in the street instead of baseball. I guess this shows where outsourcing computer jobs eventually brings us. I understand in the UK its the same.
