And the movement shows more emotion imo than 80% of the other groups performing this song. I love the placement of the voices in the arrangement too. Excellent swell from the center soprano. Hearing this makes me happy to be from St. Louis.

The ladies @ 1:16 are chillingly good -- Imogen used auto-tuned (stylised of course, and to great effect), but they just open their mouths and out comes this!!
@Jollylawger yeah -- i know, i've seen her perform it, but the kids call anything with pitch correction auto-tune these days. :-) but feel free to correct my spelling and so on if that make you feel better.
parts of this don't sound a thing like the original... too many people singing, i guess. at the very beginning, i could only hear one vocal part, and i couldn't hear the girls at all... you guys are very good though. i'm not bashing, just.. constructive criticism i guess.
The guys are WAY overpowering the girls, when with this song they should be background while the girls are the main feature. I think this is why it sounds a bit weird to me...

Your voices blend exactly right just like Imogen Heap's single voice. There is passion and the performance is fantasic!

Oh my goodness... So beautiful.. This definitely gave me chills. Whispers sang at my school today, we were really disappointed that they didn't sing this ]]]: It was still amazing though.
1. In the very first "hide and seek" women section, the chords aren't right.
2. Starting with the "mm, whatcha say" section, the song rushes continuously to the end. Too bad.
3. I liked all of the choreography except for all the head bows randomly in the first half -- why do them? It was so distracting to the song, and made them out of time. Although, perhaps you put them in so they would not rush. Maybe the head bows should've been in the entire piece then.
1) the chords are correct but incredibly complex. you may be noting the balance, which is always different in a live performance.
2) the song is more about feel than adhering strictly to the rhythms as arranged, so yes, tempo varies. that's intentional. In the original conception of the song (performed in the dark) we made even bolder choices with that.
3) heads bow depending on who is singing in the sparer sections, in the same way that the song begins and ends with the group's heads bowed.
No she's right, they're not right in this version. There's the obvious pitch error on "trains" and the "all those years" is missing a note (actually, it's the main melody as I hear it, which is unfortunate). The arrangement is correct though, and it's done right on the '07 version.
But I was wondering, are you a show choir? I was just confused on why you were moving b/c it seemed a little distracting to your beautiful voices. Other than that, seriously great!
Whispers is not a show choir, but choreography (often a LOT of it) is often a fixture of college a cappella too. We trend towards less choreo and more focus on the music, though.
Not nearly as good as I was expecting. Still good, better than I would do. Just nothing too special, pretty pitchy in some parts but that's a little expected without a synthesizer.
Great performance to you all! You are clearly a very talented group. I'd love to hear a studio recording of this one. Have you recorded this one by any chance?

Not nearly as good as I was expecting. Still good, better than I would do. Just nothing too special, pretty pitchy in some parts but that's a little expected without a synthesizer.
