camping is a legitimate strategy in realistic/semi-realistic shooters. Camping in non-realistic/fantasy shooters is frowned upon but not illegal or wrong (Quake, Unreal Tournament, Halo, etc..) In short, learn to snipe well and stop whining when a good player snipes you.

what i like to do is get a get up there halfway with the mav and have a support and a javelin user spawn on me. i lay a spawn beacon and i come back in with a recon with a soflam. then, me and my team lay down laser designated missles at all the tanks and shit coming across the map :)

The best snipers are the ones who worry less about their k/d ratio and more about supporting the infantry and protecting the objective. As a sniper, you should find a vantage point useful for either taking an objective you do not own, or protecting one you do. Take out any snipers looking to pick off your guys and pick off guys looking to take out your objective. Besides running around makes you go negative more often than not.

It does not, the optimal time to squeeze the trigger is in between breaths. That is when your body is at its calmest. And be honest, the gameplay in battlefield doesnt really allow for real sniping, as much as i want it to, its not. You would need a ghillie suit, and at least a claymore or a trap to secure your spot. That would be fun in these small maps with 64 players :/

thanks this vid inspired me. i like to snipe, so sue me, im the kind of guy you want sniping though ill save your ass. but often when im in one of my tricky places to get to my squad will start spawning on me all sniping too, which is very annoying. i dont know if they just see the cool spot and want to come or see my crazy score and think they can do it too, either way it sucks. so in spots without a wall i have been pushing off my teammates that follow me. its pretty fun and very effective.
