The Knicks don't need cp3, they need a defensive center and a solid PG, cp3 would mess up their cap space and couldn't rebuild their franchise in the right way. I've gone back and forth about the prospect of the Knicks landing CP3. On one hand, I'm concerned by his injury history and lack of height (most small PG's have very short-shelf lives). On the other, I'm encouraged by his ability to get the ball out in transition- the bread and butter of transition offense. I'd roll the dice for him but would have to add Dwight Howard (by trading Amar'e) to offset the defensive deficiencies of being a small PG presents.

I think that is an obvious no since you'd have another dominant ball handler playing his spot. I do think the best way to make it all work though would be to put CP3 and Rose at the 2 guard. As for CP3, I think him coming to the Knicks is a possibility. With the Hornets having traded Darren Collison, I think Raymond Felton and/or Toney Douglas become that much more attractive to them. Add to the fact that we can offer a young prospect like Anthony Randolph and I think our package becomes one of the primer packages available in the league. Lack of picks hurt but can be circumvented.

As for CP3, I think him coming to the Knicks is a possibility. With the Hornets having traded Darren Collison, I think Raymond Felton and/or Toney Douglas become that much more attractive to them. Add to the fact that we can offer a young prospect like Anthony Randolph and I think our package becomes one of the primer packages available in the league. Lack of picks hurt but can be circumvented.

Williams absolutely killed everyone in the Skills Competition (including CP3), two years ago when he was snubbed.
Not to mention, everytime the Hornets play the Jazz.......

CP3 ain't going anywhere until they start losing games. I'd think he would still want to go to Orlando but Otis Smith isn't one to break up the chemistry of his team in the middle of the season. So my best bet is to say if he were to get Traded during the season it would likely be New York or Portland.

If cp3 and okafor are to be moved, Orlando would be the place... They have Brandon bass, gortat, Vince, jameer... A lot of moveable pieces. it wouldn't be ideal I the hornets want expirings but it is still feasable

Chris Paul needs to settle down and make up with the Hornets. It’s much better for the Knicks to get Paul as a free agent next summer when his contract expires rather than foolishly trading pieces away on a guy that could easily bounce if the marriage doesn't work out. Donnie is an excellent poker player...you don't trade for players you can sign next summer with your available cap space. Walsh will build us a winner!!! Go Knicks!!!
