  • Isn't it puzzling to think that somwhere in our universe, another race has already figured out a theory of everything!

  • and Atlas replies: "You try holding the world on your shoulders for a few thousand years and see how it affects your libido."

    LOL J/K :p :)

  • I'll pass my protein beam through LHC

  • and yet they still cant make good tasting MRI's for the army ;)

  • @omega311888 yes they can, they just can't afford to/choose not to

  • No recent News Is it still active?????????

  • "the beam of protons was stopped before it passed through the first detector...."

"this is an image from ATLAS, the fourth and last detector that the beam passed through..." - Which is it?

  • The whole video is a computer generation. This is something quite different than taking a snapshot with a camera in nature. This is a simulation created through sensor. An extrapolation of that information into a presented animated visualization.

  • sooooo what is this that im looking at? what typ of beam is it? and what is the point of this?

  • @splintercell186 It is a graphical representation of energy. The LHC was created to test faster than light collisions in order to prove/disprove current theories of everything. Unfortunately, the theories which would explain gravity and other mysteries, has enormous gaps in the equations where surmised particles needs to exist for millionths of a second before they combine to form what we call atoms. These extreme collisions are the only time where the particles might exist

  • @tgarci2 oo cool :) thanks,

  • how is watching a computer simulation proof of anything?

  • @TheHorizonchild

    What computer simulation?

  • so it's official, they found nothing. Turns out the billion dollar machine is just a piece of junk. Like a real expensive toaster.

  • @TylerMontana Dear Tyler, CERN is smarter than you. It only took them 13 months to fix the least comprehensible toaster in the known universe.I do not understand the Higgs Boson, But really BIG science machines are just too cool. Either you are trolling, or you have stolen mommy's laptop, and don't know very many words. But don't worry, we all love you anyway...

  • so have they discovered anything yet, .... hasnt it been over a year now

  • @jomill78 I imagine this thing produces terabytes of data. I bet it takes them awhile to sort through it all.

  • I just think its hilarious how haphazardous it all is. "This Means that the particle has not destroyed the collider."

  • Here's the problem with this approach (if their aim is to truly understand how matter is formed); it's based on DESTRUCTION. A good example of this folly is to imagine coming to an amazing palace, wondering how it was made, you destroy it and attempt to understand, from where the pieces fall, how it was constructed. If their aim is to simply understand what particles constitute matter, then they've spent way too much money. LOL Same goes for our energy derivation. all based on destruction.

  • @Kostly One of the problems of science is that the highest resolution detectors require the destruction of the object being measured. this is true of everything, from blood to paint to metal to moon dust. Even astronomy, because interfering with the path of light and capturing it as energy causes it to be alternately conserved, I.E., destroyed

  • @metashifter Well, if you want to go below the atom, that is true. But, for energy derivation? Mine the earth for material resources. Transport said resources to all corners of the globe (much more destruction). All the way down to regional distribution. Do you know how much fuel that takes? I don't but, I know it's a lot. My point is, we're tunnel visioned as an advanced conscious specie. That or there are some seriously effed up people making sure we stay on the destructive path.

  • @Kostly 1) mining resources for energy is the same kind of thing. 2) The conspiracy is based on common apathy vs empowered wills of the few. If people cared on a significant level and networked, then it is easily possible that the so-called Proletariat would carry the weight to shift extant paragidms, which, Right now, it just seems like they exist to enforce common ignorance, by no one or few people's engineering, I might add.....

  • Oh hi shitty weather conditions and earthquakes...whats that? You say you're only acting up like this because these piece of shit scientists decided to fuck with reality and cern lost a black hole????? Oh man, fuck government funding that goes to shit like this. End wars before you try to deconstruct particles.

  • @pyro5908 actually, the funding comes from old money vultures from europe. Think, Rothschilds...

  • Hi, all. This is not a smart-ass question (I really would like to know the answer): If you collide 2 protons (both travelling at 'close to speed of light'), what happens to them - Do they split into atoms? , and if so, how fast is the 'atomic debris' (I think that's correct) travelling? No bad/troll comments please - I'm not a scientist.

  • @GovernmentGuy @GovernmentGuy protons are not atoms. What they split into are the quantum constituents that make protons up. Quarks. Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. LOL Here's a good place to start: "structure formation"

Depending on your hunger for knowledge, you can then take that "structure formation" and go deeper. The knowledge is out there. You just need to learn how to navigate it and understand it. IT's tough for people who haven't been to "higher edu"

  • when they are about to collide they go as fast as 99.9%the speed of light

  • @05candyman closer to 91% i think ?? i was just reading up on it and that's the number i came across. sorry to be pedantic

  • WTF I could have drawn that on paint

  • @orkofix you're an idiot

  • FUCK OOFFFFFFF. apocalipse has came... MESSIAHHHH

  • this is part of the beast, obviously, eiscat haarp sura echelon

  • My Penis itches

  • Better than a black hole in Swtizerland i guess...

  • @natureboy

Oh go hug a tree u hippie. Unbelievable!

  • @professionalswiss You go any interest in physics yet use hippie in a downgrading term? Now that's unbelievable. He said we destroy earth and kill off animals, thousands of species @ week. Do you disagree? If so you are quite ignorant for thinking being.

  • @Etrajbe The way of progress has always been littered with casualties. Consider it Collateral Damage if you will. Honestly i don't even remember what caused my response and I am evidently too lazy to search through a years worth of comments. However I can determine that his Username is NatureBoy therefore my Hippie argument appears to be quite factual...

  • FAKE

  • human are cruelest creatures ever to move on earth by killing other animals. but now i feel proud that i am a human ! not all humans are cruel.

  • @natureboycool LOL how can u say were cruel when almost every aniaml alive eats other animals (including insects etc etc) does that mean that there cruel for eating other aniamls?

  • im going to give it from now....5 years.... contact me in 6 years if we are still alive so you can lol at me

  • One thing it would help aircraft is due to half the fuel in a plane is burned up in take off so to give aircraft a free launch into the air is highly significant deal. Also in reverse it would make landing aircraft with no true landing gear possible in turn maken aircraft lighter, more fuel efficent, faster, and safer.

  • free to think, create and be free to be :)

    kaztor0213 9 hours ago

As long as it only applies to others but not me. This is called discrimination.

  • I believe man kind could benefit from large particle accelerators capable of launching aircraft into outerspace. Maybe launching high speed motorless gliders from one destination to another or maybe a human portal machine over very long distances. Maybe a way of sending information faster than the worlds supercomputers. I just think we should look for more realistic applications first then move on to other things. Give us something for our 20 billion in donations for crying out loud.

  • Do you realy think if they found the secrete to the universe they would share it with everyone.

  • @Thelongmanable theres no secret of the universe... its a cycle... EVERYTHING its a natural cycle... when the universe end everything starts all over again, another bigbang maybe... theres no such a thing as time... think for yourself enjoy life, be free to think, create and be free to be :)

  • The Gay man Jay Edgar Hoover also founder of some unkown organisation called the FBI. When real intelligence is discovered its locked away in a vault its actually a curse to scientist, engineers etc due to they never will noble peace prize, world recognition etc etc due to its confidential. Quote by Nikola Tesla on Einstines theorgy of Relativity " It is vague and miss leading" Einstine was a to bit hustler nothing more nothing less.

  • FYI Why would they share this information or something like einstines theories with everyone. OH thats right the top minds and everyone in the world sees them due to no human on earth has yet to use them in a viable application. OH NIKOLA TESLA NEVER TALKED ABOUT why cuase everything he did he could prove it not only mathmaticaly but also in physical application. This is when you know real brake through has accured its HUSH HUSH. Nikola Tesla died Gay Edgar hoover took control over his estate.

  • I have the ablity to say that with a billion dollar operations there was absolutely no man kind benefitting result. Most HUMANS ON EARTH WOULD BE ASHAMED AFTER TAKING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF OTHER PEOPLE MONEY THEN NOT PRODUCEN ANY TYPE OF RESULT. OH ALBERT EINSTINE THEORIES ARE JUST THAT THEORIES AND LIKE PARTICLE ACCELERATORS HAVE YET TO BENEFIT MAN KIND IN ANY POSSIBLE WAY. NIKOLA TESLA JUST LOOK AROUND YOU FLOURCENT BULBS, AC POWER PLANTS IN AMERICA AND GERMANY, ETC ETC.

  • Vire shhhhhh the adults are talken

  • @Thelongmanable You don't even have the mental capacity of an adult. The ideas you presented are both challenged and put to shame by Vire's reply. Therefore, I can easily say to you "shush, the adults are talking".

  • well to all those eggheads who thought this machine would bring about the end of the world, we are still here! stick your chaos theories up ur ass

  • This is great stuff 20 billion dollar machinery that doesnt produce any viable or productive information. Thats ok cuase it didnt do anything and were glad it didnt it was a huge success. PEOPLE I AM ALL FOR FUNDING RESEARCH BUT DAMN IF I AM GOING TO FUND SOMETHING THAT IN THERE ENTIRE WORLD OF PARTICLE ACCELERATORS THEY HAVE YET TO PRODUCE ONE RESULT THAT WILL BENEFIT MAN KIND IN ANY WAY.

SUGGEST LETS BUILD A LARGE PARTICLE ACCELERATOR TO LANCH AIR CRAFT INTO OUTER SPACE. 300MPH ALL NEEDED

  • @Thelongmanable

How ignorant. Do you ever want space travel to be viable? Or energy to cost less? Well, these things require a greater understanding of physics, so that we can develop new technologies. You can't just throw money at a problem to solve it; first you need to know what's going on. That is what the LHC is for.

  • Not to bad for Advanced Monkeys =P

  • pop...fizzle...

    "JACKPOT!"

  • It would be so ironic if the last big bang was created by aliens trying to do the same as the cern scientists

  • are there any discoveries yet? i mean have they learned anything from this? its an old video and all im seeing is this 4billion dollar project recording an atom exploding is that it? is that all it does?

  • @xzero0100

"Charm" quarks and "Strange Beauty" particles work for you?

  • @Phage0070 cool ill look that stuff up.

  • @xzero0100 Yes, that is all that it does. It's a very "simple" experiment, you could say, in theory, but in practice it is a huge project.

  • @Fredericks3214 well crap. i was hoping for something earthshaking and changing the whole way things were. they overhyped it....

  • @xzero0100 thank the press

  • @NScott45 it was a big waste of money. technology fail...

  • @xzero0100 really? how? explain.

  • @xzero0100 The science in our times its low budget supplied Im talking about europe.IF 4% of european budget(including universityes) appear as essagerated well i ve noth to say.Other question: how could anybody think that an scientist dessire a blink of fame after those many years of hard labor he done?A blink of fame can be achieved in much eassier ways:killing an entire school ppl,Big Brother, predicting end of world, predicting earth-qwakes etc.Scientists in my oppinion are like saints

  • @TINAliubov30 "Scientists in my oppinion are like saints "

Yeah, TINA!! Just like the scientists who developed the first nuclear weapon!! Like the "scientists" at Chernobyl! Fukushima! Bio weapons! Conventional weapons! Super weapons! Mind weapons! ooooh......SO saintly. You best wake your ass up child. TINA is a perfect example of someone who has been brainwashed, completely voluntarily given up her right to look at things objectively. Instead we get a mindless science droney.

  • this may sound strange but i feel proud as a human that we are able to build and develop insane technologies like this. forget the high tech aliens we watch in different movies, we are those aliens ourselves

    GO HUMANS!

  • @MuayThaiViking and yet we still destroy the earth... why?

  • @zestyguy87 i dont know.. maybe you should ask yourself? turn off your computer, its contributing to the global warming

  • @MuayThaiViking Actually since the universe has been here for so long we are probably at the bottom of the universal food chain there is probably alien intelligent life who had already been developing for millions of years

  • @boxingisbest considering how vast the universe yes, but keep in mind how long evolution takes.

  • @rsnitemare463 Well evolution comes to a point were theres no need for more evolution in fact we humans have already reached that point and we can already with our intelligence invent things that can improve the body and soon the brain and thus speeding up evolution significantly

  • @MuayThaiViking possibly one of the BEST comments i have seen on youtube! hahahah GO HUMANS ! ! !

  • @MuayThaiViking I see how anyone could find that statement strange at all. I agree completely.

  • yes excellent, yet we continue to treat elders with dementia like lepers, lock them up untreated and throw away the key, shove this rubbish up your arse

  • @caravanfisherman69 who are ''we''? ive never done that, and i would never do that to anyone close to me

  • @MuayThaiViking THEN YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER THEN

  • @caravanfisherman69 would you??

  • @MuayThaiViking the lhc is as far useless plus if there were to be significant discovery it will lead to a wapon beig developed waaaay before anything good would come of it. U will deny this but its truth will be felt as it takes place.

  • @vreaulamatah what makes you think this technology can be used as a weapon? are you a scientist? you probably dont understand 0.5% of what they are doing :P

30 years ago people didnt believe that people would own computers privately, look at the market now. just because something ''useless so far'' doesnt mean it wont be usefull in the future. ANY technology starts out that way.

DNA studies, microchips, engines, space programs, electricity.. they all started out useless. look where it took us

  • @MuayThaiViking i underline AS FAR and nations's spending is far greater on military than civilian aspecialy the countries involved in the lhc project. The powers that be prove themselves ever more corupt and mindless and as i was saying it's not about how bright i am but about how bright THEY are.

  • @vreaulamatah Now you throw out false statistics without any sources.. Military spendings in denmark is nothing compared to what we use in healthcare, humanitarian aid, education and whatever u mean with ''civilian''. if u understand danish i can try link u the official spending plans

this project has nothing to do with developing weapons. its science, yes. but dont try to compare it with the manhattan project. you watching videoes on youtube is a result of ''so far'' useless technologies

  • @MuayThaiViking ummmm your argument is self contradicting. you said that people didn't believe computers would be privately owned but then 30 years later they were. well take this tech and say the military was the people. right now they dont see much use in it. but in 30 years we might learn how to use the huge amount of possible energy from things like this and turn it into weapons. lol imagine a gun so powerfull that it could shoot a beam of energy at something (like a laser beam) thats crazy

  • @sdf3123 i bet any scientist would laugh at comments like that. ''laser beams!'' those weapons already exist, they are used to shoot down incoming missiles, bombs etc.

who knows what people will invent in 30 years.. but this project has never had anything to do with building military weapons, so saying how wrong it is because it will blow us all up, is just stupid

  • @sdf3123 a proton beam gun

  • @vreaulamatah i think i agree with you i mean look at gps, or rc cars they all started out in the military and eventually trickeled down to us once better more efficient tech was made

  • @MuayThaiViking yet we still kill each other for puny reasons

  • @MuayThaiViking yea, well UNFORTUNATELY, we always end up using such technology to mass murder people in the long run!!!

  • @MuayThaiViking

    Ano! I'm awsum!! :>

  • @MuayThaiViking So If this machine creates a blackhole What The Fuck Will Happen Next. Cause Some Motherfuckers Guessing What Will Happen Is Some Dumb Ass Shit. This Fuck'n Machine Is Evil And I Hope The Shit Blows Up And Kills Em All. All The Money That Has Went Into Out Of Space Is Some Bullshit. MAN IS THE WEAKEST LINK ON THIS EARTH MADE WITH NO NATURAL DEFENSE. HOW AND THE FUCK ARE WE GONNA DEAL WITH SOME ALIEN SHIT. CAVE MAN TO SUPER MAN MAN WENT FROM ROACH TO KING OF THE JUNGLE REAL QUICK

  • @commando713 I AgrEe WiTh EveRyTHiNg YoU SaY!

  • @commando713 The black hole is only real on planck scale, above that its virtual and theoretical

  • @metashifter not true. Thats what they tell you and hope you believe. Who In The Fuck builds some shit for billions of dollars and does multimillion dollar test to only have virtual results. Area51 and this Shit they got in the mountains in colorado are private and will kill on site if you go pass certain areas. `

  • @MuayThaiViking That proud feeling was destroyed when I found out people killed themselves thinking this would end the world.

  • @DemonAMVs Don't let a few irrational people destroy the "feeling"

    Not everyone is like that.

  • @CassidyzBoo A few? lol

  • @Uhh yeah that was an understatement lol.

  • @MuayThaiViking Lol I like this comment. By the way I always get a laugh at a movie where highly intelligent aliens get defeated by humans with a computer virus. Not very smart aliens in the end.

  • @tangnatalaga HAH yea think ive watched independence day 15 times when i was little. guess im a human-fanboy :D

  • @MuayThaiViking Hahaha so am I. I can't get enough of "The Outer Limits" episode of hulu. lol My favorite one was the guy who made a virtual prison and ended up locking himself in there. Hahahaha. Thanks for the comment.

  • @MuayThaiViking yeah, we are making things but, you don't know if the aliens have better tech like 1million years advance. Maybe they have a little ball of energy that could destroy our planet like in 10 secs. Gave you a like for humans.

  • my children learn how to build this in kindergarten

  • @MuayThaiViking yeah but will it make my car run for 20 years without refueling.......nope.

  • If they dont discover something useful it will be one hell of a waste of money.

  • does anyone know the technical name for the event diagrams they show? ive heard em called event diagrams, collision pictures, and a bunch of other stuff but i know theres a technical name for em and id like to know! thx.

  • oh fuck, here we go again; it has to be like this in every fucking video? instead of reading interesting comments and learn something here we have as usual Baby Jebus groupies and fans thinking that they can undermine thousands of hour of dedicated work from the most brilliant minds, you suffer from delusions of grandeur (and other delusions) and talking shit about how something proves something else or doesn't yadda yada yadda.. don't you have some talking to do with the big boss or something?

  • @DocStrange0123 BOY, you sound narcissistic and like you think 'you're the anointed one himself." I think it would be FITTING that the scientists of the world killed humanity by playing God. Fitting INDEED.

  • @AmericaBonnyLASS It's not narcissistic or arrogant when you know that most of the time your oponent is talking shit. Science is not good or bad in human terms, it's used for good things and bad things; thanks to Science you can watch this video and write a post but lets ignore science when is inconvinient or unconfortable.. all I know is that every time something is related with the Big Bang or Evolution there are plenty of Jesus fans talking without knowing what they try to dismiss.. I'm tired

  • @AmericaBonnyLASS

Indeed, wouldn't it also be fitting if the "Preists" of the world were responsible for said worlds end? Oh Oh! even the "people" of the world!? Oh wait a minute here, you were generalizing! Now I get it!! Wow, clever. Really got me there!

  • @AmericaBonnyLASS

Also, I wonder where you get thay overtly egotistical "Playing God" thing? We CAN'T play god. He's supposed to be an omni-potent being! Do you have any idea what that means!? If there is a god, he/she/it/them is beyond detection. We've been sandboxed.

  • THE WOMANS VOICE IS SO ANNOYING....!

  • his is the description of the origin and emergence of man given in the Quran. The law of evolution working in the universe which Europe claims to have discovered was clearly defined in the Holy Quran more than fourteen hundred years ago that man was not created in an instant in the form in which he is today. God did not make a model of clay and breathed life into it to become the first man.

  • @luwiz How can you say 'grow out of the earth" is a clear definition of evolution? What you wrote seems to be a series of observations randomly attributed to a divine being. Also, if you are quoting directly there, "the moon therein a light" there is no light in the moon. Maybe Allah should've said, "the moon reflecting the light of the sun" you know...if he wanted to be accurate about all the stuff he made.

  • @luwiz *cough* This is not about biological evolution.

  • @Fredericks3214 ah ok thank you im just ordinary mann with limited knowledge thats why i ask ^_^

  • What is the matter with you that you hope not for greatness and wisdom from Allah? And He has created you in different forms and different conditions. See you not how Allah has created seven heavens in perfect harmony, and has placed the moon, therein a light and made the sun a lamp? And Allah has caused you to grow out of the earth as a good growth. Then will He cause you to return, thereto, and He will bring you forth a new bringing forth. (71:14-19)

  • The reason why god is pulled into this is cause most of the religious freaks claimed that this experiment will create a black hole and we will all die,now if i would believe that GOD is a good entity who needs a fund raising drive of billions per year with the pope in the lead just to exist then i too would believe so,but if you ever wondered why all the religions across the world are so similar but so different you might wan't to look into the zodiac signs and our origins of life.

  • In a sense the bible is correct, but most of it is a reverse worship of satan,it's what the people runnin this world are doing, everything that seems so good to us is actually bad and that's theyre upper hand.People who are obsessed with material wishes, who can't let go of theyre memories or worldly goods the moment they die, those are the people who end up going to hell, which is ofcourse back to a miserable life on earth.Higher dimensions, preparation for death, the true meaning of life.

  • And if you wan't a freaking higher understanding of physics and energy you better look around yourself,do some drugs, break the reality that doesn't really exist but is created by our own stupid "intelligence",intelligence that can't keep wars or innocent people from dying. This is what science tells me,energy can't be destroyed,it only changes it's form.Well there's my proof that i'm gonna live forever, the more people are obsessed with bad energy like money the lower the chance of higher concious

  • It doesn't matter what the subject of the video is,humans are living in a world that provokes violence and most people don't care about the facts they just believe whatever the fuck they are told. And as long as people believe the government and live in a fake-dream world of telemedia with praying to celebrities and false images, people are so obsessed with money if money had a owner he would be a god,and seriously do the research it's not really that impossible to believe,it's quite obvious...

  • It is so amazing that no one can see.. How many people on here want blood from others they do not know.. You think the end will come the way you imagine it.. No.. I think it will come from the people next door, because when the neighbors of neighbors boil over the blood shall flow. This is a Science video.. how can people be foaming at the mouth hot at each other?

  • Okay if the bible claims God is good, then why in the end did he finish with killing millions of people as opposed to satan who only killed 10.If you believe in god you believe in the reverse image of satanic worship and your soul should be harvested immediately before your prayers feed the death of us all which is actually pretty close.

  • dont cross the streams......

  • As much as I learn more about science and nature, as much as I realize that I know less! If there is one thing that I want to do is not die, not because I'm afraid of death itself, but because I want to stay alive to know about each and every discovery! Science it the only language for reasoning.

  • pointless experiment....

  • Test runs show that even at slow speed the cillinders overheated. Now they are in the process of upgrading them. There are no real news about the collider. The fact is that if protons collide, it could release the powere hundred times more powerful than neutron bomb...they are literally playing with fire

  • @transfoby : no they are not....every video I go to I see you spouting your nonsense psuedoscientist crap. Firstly, the energy we put into the system is the maximum energy that can be taken out, rule of thermodynamics doesn't break down until AFTER speed of light. Since we cannot possibly achieve C, there is no break down. Secondly, it won't create a blackhole either in any size, including "mini" (which I've seen you mention).

  • @sabriath A but of knowledge of physics, common sense, and an ability to analyze the information allows me to come to certain conclusions. First of all, the beam DID NOT reach the speed of light, otherwise there would be bigger problems than the overheating and collapse of one of the magnets. Secondly, it was Cox himself, who in the interview mentioned that there are already mini black holes around us, which mystifies me.

  • @transfoby : You take the word of 1 guy? Cox is an idiot, there's no such thing as mini-blackholes, there has never been any confirmed test, not even the laser reflective timed test for so-called "ethereal space" to show dialations at all.....none. Seems to me a crackpot.

  • @sabriath Whose side are you really on?? I never heard of mini black holes either, exept perhaps those in his head...Who are you anyway...working at Cern, perhaps. Monitoring what kind of response this gross experiment receives??

  • @transfoby : I'm on the side of reality....the LHC is not going to hurt anyone except for the pockets of the investors. I don't see how looking at fractal pictures of spin behavior after atoms have smashed into each other is suppose to "prove" anything. Obviously when you take 2 objects and hit each other, you're going to have shrapnel, that's a duh. There are other colliders that have been doing the same thing for years and nothing happened there, waste of time to worry.

  • @sabriath Right! Who asked you to explain anything to me.

  • @sabriath I guess I was right...You are some kind of Youtube mouthpiece for LHC, hahahhaah. Is it those investors who paid you to look at the popular opinion?

  • @transfoby : jesus fucking christ, just shut the fuck up already.....gawd. I live in delaware, far from any LHC.

goddamn conspiracy theorist mother fucker....learn some damn physics or read a damn book for fucks sake.

  • @sabriath That figures...only an ignorant american fool like you could use this sort of language....Forget LHC, Obama Osama Husein is fucking you up big time, you dumb nation of warmongers.

  • @sabriath What are you...some kind of mouthpiece for Cern?

  • ownd

  • guys could we stop making this stuff about religion. we know it's all bullshit, and science vs faith and blah blah blah.. this debate is centered around people's ego's and is getting old.

  • haha that report was so retarded, she said that the protons traveled around the LHC at the speed of light and only traveled the 27 kilometres around. if it was near the speed of light i think it would have travelled a lot further than that!

  • @tompants2010 Actually, if it travelled even near the speed of sound it would have travelled in less than a minute...they think people are stupid dumpasses like them :))

  • @tompants2010 lol wow kid... i don't know how i can dumb this down enough... but distance traveled has nothing to do with velocity... :(

  • @buker420 i know that but the protons are still traveling a particular distance when they loop the 27km circuit i was just commenting on the fact that the commentator says the protons have nearly travelled 27km when they get to the last detector! If they protons were going near to the speed of light they would have lapped the collider numerous times as they would not collide on the first lap.

  • @tompants2010 ...they each travel 13.5km at the speed of light to collide with eachother, the point of impact is at the very opposite end they start at. just because they are going the speed of light doesn't mean they have to travel FURTHER... its a very short distance and yes for them to meet it takes less time than we could ever imagine.

  • @tompants2010 dude, buy a book and READ IT. Your ignorance actually caused me a migrane. Thanks.

  • @tompants2010

OH GOD THE STUPID IT HURTS

  • <3 Physics!!

  • Come on people, this talk about Religion X Science

    is soooooooooo overrated

and suck every subject to a pile of nothingness with a force of a black hole.

  • Nobody knows shit. Thats just it. Now everyone shut the fuck up and stop talking shit, you're all fuckin' annoying as shit.

  • So we are back to where we started from! Hahaha

  • First off the video doesnt but the principle does, if your too dumb to realize that your surely dumb enough to believe in god, lowercase, and your beibg polite merely insulting people in the name of god, as millions have been killed in his name .. Hes soo forgiving...

  • thats it?!

  • it was the first time atlas got any action.....wait for it......THATS WHAT SHE SAID ! =P

  • @00Avenger17 lol, just thinking the same thing

  • @TheHomelessCripple hehe great minds think alike =P

  • Google: DOE'S ACCOUNT

  • @PeaceIsRad Doe's account is a load of shit.

  • @ILikeToMong I'm not sure what to think about it yet but I think it's interesting. How do you know "Doe's Account" isn't real?

  • @PeaceIsRad

The idea on it's own is pretty far fetched.

But also I think some of the text is edited as the pen and and hand writing will change half way down pages sometimes. Just seems like a hoax.

  • @lantus915 Yeah and you die of an incurable illness from the year 1000. Good luck living your daily life without scientists' achievements.

  • Im just amazed they can analyze something so unimaginably small and so fast. Over 99.9% the speed of light? Fucking incredible...

  • The parallel between fear of the LHC and the fear of the microscope, the telescope, would be amusing were it not an indicator of how so many people celebrate ignorance. In the good old days(pre-reformation, when the bible was taught but not shared, as once any person with sense reads the thing they realize that it is just Hellenistic pop culture nonsense) germs were demons, and the earth was flat and in the center. The LHC is a bold leap forward for us primates.
