HD-DVD: It's like Betamax, but less fun, less classic, less innovative, less interesting, less influential....oh what the heck: Betamax rules in an anti-cool way, HD-DVD fails at failing.
@BoogsterSU2 This was on a few regular DVDs, don't remember where I got this from but it was mostly on Universal and some Warner titles. HD-DVD went on the market around March 2006, and Blu-Ray came out a few weeks later.
The funny thing is the next Gen Bluray players will make you buy a SD card to get the extra features HD DVD had lol even when paying $400 for a new BR player they cheat you on the Ram.
yeah but blu-ray has something hd dvd dosen't have that would be new releases. unless you are holding out for that disco pigs to get a new release date lol. oh i do own a hd dvd player but common its time to stop talking about how good a failed format was its still failed.
a video format that not only sounds retarded or is retarded, a gimmicky premise would surley improve it. i want jodi sally to comment on hd dvds demise
Death Proof was the final HD-DVD ever made. The Irony Amuses me.

@iNvictaStudios Really? I heard it was Twister. Which would itself be ironic, because Twister was the first DVD ever released.

ericblr:Blu Ray and HD dvd are nearly identical blu ray can do the exact same thing as hd dvd.
Except that blu is not as FUNctional as HD DVD. Blu is still trying to release a product that the customer WANTS to buy.

The loser of this format war was the consumer. Blue Ray=Unfinished & Expensive HD-DVD=Finalised & Affordable

This is much cheese-ier. Terrible-ier. Why tarnish a good format with this ad?

"The Look And Sound Of Perfect?"
Don't they mean perfection? Sounds Engrish that way.

I call it The Look And Sound Of Failure!

XD Yeah. Maybe it would have helped their sales if they had actually BUILT IN the HD DVD player into the 360. Most likely not tho :P

I so thought this was going to be the HD format that would win! It seems so much cooler than blue-ray with all the cool interactive features.

Blu-Ray can do most of that stuff too, I think. I don't know how I'd run an internet connection over to my living room anyways.

I guess sony got their revenge after losing the Betamax-VHS war, huh?

The gratuitous use of "-ier" reminds me of the "Milk is a Natural" commercial from the 70s- I'll post that if I can find out where I put it.
