I know, but the Mig-29s are Russian, right? The Russian units at that airbase are probably mostly ethnic Armenian though.
It's really hard to find info about all this stuff, because unlike the Azeris who like to parade everything Armenia likes to keep it's cards close to it's chest :)
I have even heard rumours of Su-27s, but so far like the Migs it's just rumours imho.
@D3ADSY Coming from an Armenian Spetsnaz Commander (I am not really allowed to say anything). Erebuni Airbase is used by the Russian and Armenian Air Forces. SU-27's are real... along with the MIG fighter jets.
yes these MIg 29s are russian air force but whenever there's a threat against Armenia these Migs would participate into defending Armenia. regarding su27s it is still not officially confirmed but they added several su25 to their fleet and some mi 24 attack helicopters.
