  • @semiautoriflelover all the time! :)

  • At 8:04 "they are not having problems with this batch " ???

So there are other problems with other batches ?

  • @frankgon4 At the time, AIM claimed that they had never heard of an issue with these weapons in the past. I ordered out of a new batch they had received. However, any google search pulls up widespread issues with C93s - long before the "batch" I ordered from...

  • I'm glad I watched your review. I almost bought one, I'm glad I waited. Honest, evidence based review.

  • @downriverfirepower Thank you!

  • I really want a cheap semi auto rifle.i prefer.223, any ideas?

  • I had the same problem with my C93 and was a easy fix mine wad the ejector doing was loose I don't know the proper name for the part but I could grape my ejector claw and wiggle it all over. Went to hkparts.net and bought h&k93 ejector springs and after removing the one out of my c9: could tell the h&k one was alot stronger I have put over 3000 round through it now with no problems

  • so that started out as an h&k and then century arms replaced half the parts or what?

  • @3255959 They rebuild them from part kits. The people at CAI have a horrible tendency to seriously F**k up rifles with some of the shoddy and quickly slapped together parts. They are many times in need for some tweaks or sometimes total rebuild. Never think of ANY rifle from CAI as a complete rifle, treat it as a parts kit that shoots.

  • I believe the ammo you were using was probably from a private sale, if I am right then that was more than likeley some dudes home loads that were not functioning properley for him. I work at a gun range/gun shop and see crap like that all the time from home loads.

  • @usmc20014874 No. Not home loads, brand new factory ammo from USA Ammo.

  • thats too bad, it looks like a good SHTF rifle, carry it in my easy rider rifle rack

  • What kind of accuracy did you experience with this rifle? I'm curious?

  • 223 is 5.56 there is no gun that says do not use one or the other

  • I thought it looked cool so I bought one too. But I only owned it for a very short time. I encountered feeding issues, the ergonomics weren't very good, and you have to have a long index finger to drop the mag w/ your hand on the grip. and it feels cheap. parts wiggle. I got rid of it quick.

  • I got one of these back in august its really accurate but it has some problems a downside is that it sucks taking it apart for cleaning. Mine didn't have any problems with bolt gap but you get what you payed for, it's not worth it if you have a 50/50 chance that its not going to work properly and jam a lot.

  • I held one of these in Cabales and the stock was extremely short. I couldn't even see the aperture of the rear sight with the stock on my shoulder, when I held it away from me I got a fine sight picture. Do you notice a too small LOP on this?

  • @ImWatchinTheTube This just how they are. I have a 53 with same stock and its just that way and takes a little time to get used too,but feels fine to me now that I am. I'm 6'3" and it works just fine when you get used to it. These are cqb stocks. Some people just don't like it though and can't get used to it. They're just fun though, like lego guns with so many interchangable parts from different calibers. Great when built right.

  • I checked a website and these clones are actually prettt inexpensive

  • I would like one of these if it wasn't for the fact that they shred brass...

  • @ILikeWeapons132435 They dont schred brass. They do put chamber flut marks on brass and maybe a dent from ejection into receiver slot. You can easily fix that with port buffer. The most softest shooting .556 available.

  • H&K clones are known for mauling brass. my PTR does that. try steel cased ammo. i have nothing to say about the FTF or FTLs. brass doesn't do that to mine. then again it is CAI which isnt good. their guns aren't consistent. one batch can be some of the best around while another batch will be the worst guns ever made.

  • What song was this supposed to be? Thanks great video.

  • thanks for putting in that the g3 is a cetme clone i hate telling people there wrong

  • can you put a colapsible stock on this im looking for one with a colapsible stock for my wife

  • @taylorzack78 I understand that most of the receivers are out of factory spec so the A3 stock is really really tight if you can even to get it to fit. Theoretically it will fit but this receiver may require some machining to get it to fit.

  • @taylorzack78 Very good question. I do not believe you can buy an adjustable stock for the C93, however you may be able to find one from an actual H&K gun - but who knows how much $ that would be.

  • @WashingtonXJ I have a collapsible stock for sale, $125 + 10 and I'll ship it anywhere in the lower 48 states. It could stand to be refinished but doesn't look too bad, it functions perfectly.

BTW I paid $499 from centerfiresystems for my rifle, it shoots better than my Vector V53 which was over $1200.00.

  • @taylorzack78 hkparts.com

  • I usually use eather in a rifle unless in the manual it says speciffically not to, century arms has some that are great sone that are horrible

  • Thanks for the heads up on the c93. I was considering getting one since the price came down but won't be now. Prices probably came down in part because word of the guns bad reputation got out.

  • @ShowMeMy0pponent just about all gun prices have came down. they shy rocketed just before the elections because they though obama was going to do like clinton with bans

  • on j&g sales they have this for 500.00 but its been backordered for a while

  • I am really glad that I watched this video. I was going to buy one in the next few days and you have just changed my mind and I apppericate the information you gave about the bolt and the blowing up of bullets. Thank you Mr. Washington

  • The third rifle, on the Halloween table cloth is mine!!!

I have over 1000 rounds through my C93 and it runs at over 98% reliability. I have a friend with the same rifle and his looks rougher but runs just as well. These rifles seem to be hit-or-miss from the factory. It's a good value at $600, but as with any Century firearm, it's a crap shoot if it will work or not. If any reader buys one, plan on $pending $ome time getting it to work.

  • How does CAI stay in business? Most other

    companies that build firearms,example: Ohio

Ordnance has people that test fire their guns

I know some of these companies are family

run, maybe CAI can get a couple of 14yr old

    girls,nieces,cousins,grand daughters to test

fire guns during summer break or something,

    anything!

    Jman

  • Buying Century Arms Products is a hit and miss proposition.

That fired brass looks hideous. It looks to me that there is over pressurization in the chamber resulting in the neck of the brass collapsing at the shoulder, maybe from a too tight "out of spec" chamber. Or ammo with too much powder...

  • is it chamered for 5.56 or .223.you cant do 5.56 in a .223 chamber.

  • Technically you are correct, 5.56 is NOT the same thing as .223 - however, by todays standards the ammunition can be interchanged without much resistance.

  • @WashingtonXJ you can use .223 in a 5.56 but you can't use 5.56 in a .223 the 5.56 has higher pressure than the .223 since the 5.56 is a military round and .223 is civilian. and the c93 is .223

  • @mabus3 This is how I understand it as well.

  • @johgomez1 You can see in the beginning of the video, the Century receivers are stamped 5.56mm. These guns run better on 5.56 than .223. The inertia driven cycling likes the higher pressures.

  • I bought one of these the other day and I started with 5.56 steel cased rounds, they got stuck, jammed and everything. I went to brass and problem solved, my steel casings look like yours, but my brass ones are still in good enough shape to reload.

  • plz help...(and yes i cleaned my rifle)...& yes im using correct ammo,...but I own a old post-ban Cetme, Wood stock, but the thing pings the primer caps on the back of the cartages when i chamber a round, & some times goes (bang!) when you chamber around without pulling the trigger,....does any one elses CETME tap the primer cap when they chamber a round? & leave a little indent?....any help, please let me know, thank you

  • Dont compare the ak47 to a Plastic peice shit rifle yeah right if the people down below tlkain shit bout ak47's thats why over 60% world military or People use them why? because they are reliable and durable not like any the shit yall try compare them too

  • you have to much head space, instal -1 or -2 rollers and your problem will go away. rollers come in -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, this is how you adjust headspace on a roller lock gun

  • Good review, those casings are mangled.

AIM surplus is TOP notch, they will always stand by their products and take care of their customers.

Your WASR is a CAI rifle, but CAI never touches the barrels or bolts on the WASR rifles. All they do is cut out (sometimes excessively) the mag well to accept double stacked magazines and "allegedly" add compliance parts. Several of my friends have WASR rifles and I really don't think they add any US parts, if they do they are crap....

  • Nice comment. I think your slightly incorrect about the WASR though, they come with US Tapco trigger groups which are better than the crap they used to sell it with.

  • Several of my buddies have bought WASR rifles and they had original Romanian trigger groups in them. They appear to have the tang on the hammer ground off with a dremel or something. The triggers on them SUCK, but like you said most have the tapco trigger group now.

  • as far as i know the g3 is a clone of the CETME. not the other way

  • Yepp, realized it after I posted.

  • Take the whole bolt assembly out. Take emmery cloth and sand all surfaces. Do the same for the surfaces on the roller lock. inside the Gun where the bolt assembly slides clean and sand all surfaces with emmery cloth. Even in the top upper hole make sure no burrs exist. Take the chocking mechanisem and work it back and forth hard many times when reassembled. Shoot 5.56 american eagle 55g bullets at the range about 50 times and your gun will work like a champ.

  • I bet the bolt gap is incorrect. The impressions in the casings indicate a severe overpressure from incorrect bolt gap. I think the ones that are "exploded" are actually extracting from the chamber but not ejecting; from incorrect bolt gap. Then the weakened case strikes the next round in the magazine as the bolt comes forward and the weakened case "explodes" where it has been weakened. Notice the end of those casings are bent (from smashing into the round in the magazine) I am guessing.

  • its not a bolt gap problem...bolt gap will only cause more wear on the rifle and malfunctions not rounds being torn up like that..with a huge blt gap yeah the round will go but not like that...its likely yours has chamber flutes that were cut to deep

  • Im not so sure, you should watch the video on youtube where the guy cuts a H&K chamber in half and shows bolt gap. If there is zero bolt gap the bolt wont close properlly allowing the round to eject backwards when firing, which could explain the ejecting/feeding problems Im getting.

  • thanks for the heads up

    good info

  • yeah that guns a piece of shit,, no offense,, i like ur rat pack poster,,

  • None taken, and thanks - so do I

  • How much of a pain is it to set the proper gap on those rifles? There is where the 300 to 400 dollar difference went if you want a reliable weapon have to pay the reliable weapon tax :)

I as understand it most of the companies that have tried to make HK Clones have not been successful because of the very tight tolerences and specs.

    Great Vid!

  • @af22raptor23503 PTR 91 rifles are very good. Cetme's are very hit and miss, more miss than hit!

  • Your comment at the end was so True!

  • Kick Ass Review Man!

    Five Stars!!

  • Mr Voodo, Always there for me buddy. :D

  • You know it!

  • Man that sucks

  • yw, anytime

  • 600$ aint bad

  • Your right, but for a lemon I wouldnt pay $10

  • i got an m70ab2 brand new, jammed every time. no matter what i did. new trigger assembly, new gas block, same problem. sold it for a new Wasr and a crap ton of ammo, 3k rounds later not a single jam. go figure. might get a dpms M4 next.

  • Dude awesome video.... It really sucks that u got a lemon..I have a CAI CETME and i have never had a problem.....keep up the good Work!!!!

  • Yeah Im very disappointed, but atleast I can get some money back

  • I've always liked the design and look of these guns! I have never owned one, but they just looks so awesome! Thanks for the review!
