OOOOHHH, KHAYLI GHASHANG BOOD :)))) Makes us iranian women proud of our sisters <3 i'd like to share my video of my brother Amir if you'd like. It's his Baba Karam dance for our Norooz party!
@marjaan2000...tehran, AKA "jaheli" dnace, not sure exactly wen, but my guess would b wen d culture of "Jaheli" formed among ppl of Teh durin PAhlavi era...
Very beautiful dance....as an american woman, I am very interested in iranian culture, especially from a female perspective....so hard to differentiate between sincerity from bullshit...please respond....
Good job girls... However I think without the mustache it would be more feminin (Baba Karam). This is more like "Jaheli". Great job though... although for a non-Iranian audience I think the music is a little slow.
This is an excellent clip. Thanks for sharing. If I wanted to pick on one thing that would be the music. I felt that the music did not go with the nature of dance. There are better Baba Karam music out there.
Good thoughts. I also add that I have never seen any "Jahel" with long hair! I understand that these were girls but they could hide their hair. Just a thought.
Excellent point Filmstudyreview. That is the choreographers' error. They must know that long hair in Jaheli's culture is known as "jelf" or "gherti" > There is no way that Jahels have "Pony Tail" unless they are born in America! Also, I hope the drinking girl is over 21! I do not think drinking was really a needed feature. It is a bad influence. That is another choreographers' error.
You are very right! I think the choreographers have modeled "Khordadian" as their dance symbol, which is totally wrong. I noticed that he has a similar dance with bunch of pony tail girls. Khordadian is an entertainer, not a cultural expert. Be more creative please.
Well said filmstudyreview. I am not a choreographer but I think they could have shown drunkenness without showing drinking. However, I think what stood up as a bad feature, was the length of the drunken scene and the exaggeration part of it. They could have relayed the message in a shorter time with less exaggerations.

I also attest to this comment. This dance needed a "debsh" and "Laati" music not a song from Vigen! Oh well the production is great overall.
