The Beauty Process was much more subdued and not as heavy as their previous albums. The albums great achievement are the melodies. Whereas with some of L7's earlier efforts, a good deal of their songs seemed to blend together and the Beauty Process had so many distinct numbers. Sure a lot of them were on the softer side (Non-Existent Patricia, Bitter Wine, and one of the album's highlights, Moonshine) but they also produced 3 of the bands best songs, Drama, I Need, and The Masses are Asses. <3

I like Donita and the Stellars but I do think there is something to do with chemistry in L7 that is undeniable I hope they come back. There should definitely be exploring of other music with the members but L7 never did it for image or what they were perceived as so folks who think that way naturally come back.

i dont agree that l7 has to fit some tough gal image. they just come out and play the music. i do love the stellars too and hope for success for donita and dee but judging by the length of their tour this year, i have a feeling they arent doing well

this comment is for the posters who are trying to start a petition to get L7 back. don't waste your time or energy, ok? donita has been telling interviewers that she started the stellar moments because she wanted to do something different, something fun, positive and spiritual. they were tired of always having to be the tough gals because the image limited them musically. as great as L7 was, i love the stellar moments too. if you love donita and dee, you should be happy that they're happy.

I saw them on the 94 lollapalooza tour. they were the best band in the lineup. The Pumpkins sucked compared to them.
