Hey tom you kick ass. How do you use the PADKontrol and the Novation together on your laptop? Do you plug them all through the same interface/soundcard or do you use seperate USB ports and assign them to different MIDI channels?

most likely on a different output on his audio I/O, set it to monitor / cue....

EG: output 1&2 = main output output 3&4 = monitor

I know nothing about LIVE so could be wrong.

the computer sound card would not be used it would be an audio interface

probably a headphone/output splitting adapter which allows you to plug 2 cords into one outlet. they're like 4 dollars.

He has a separate audio interface with it's own multiple outs. The laptop out is not used @ all. The Audio interface is also a 24bit sound card with extra ins and outs so that the laptop can act as mixer. A good audio interface is critical to live performance.
