  • I will be using a Felco 600 saw that I got as part of a sort of "pruning kit" that included the Felco Nr 8 secateurs. I haven't used it yet (the saw) but it looks quite promising and it's valued between 25 and 30 pounds. Don't imagine it's any better than the Silky Fox, it's, if nothing more, a slightly cheaper alternative.

  • I can't believe that Felco would put their name to a bad pruning saw. I haven't seen this saw, I expect its OK.

  • @stephenhayesuk the felco saw ist great , i used by my worf as gardner . its perfect!

  • very informative, thanks for sharing

  • Do you use any type of sealer after making your cuts? If yes, what kind; and if no, why not?

  • we used to use Arbrex tar based sealant a lot of the time, but there is a difference of opinion as to whether it makes any difference or not. Evidence of benefit seems limited.

Perhaps wise to use it for big cuts on old trees which are carrying a lot of fungal disease.

  • I'm sorry, I have never grown an avocado tree. In England where I like, they will not grow outdoors as its not wrm enough, but I have known people grow them from a stone as a house plant.

  • I like your videos, do you have any advice on growing an avacado tree?
