  • It tilts very nicely. Does it pan as well? And will my 10 pound XL-2 fit on it?

  • Looks cool but its a little noisy isnt it? Gets into the mic?

  • I use only a still camera so noise is not an issue. If I were using a video camera it would certainly pick up the noise of the servos.

  • hi again, so can you extend this to full extension (50ft) by hand with the camera on top? does it get heavier the higher you do? or is it easy to push up to full extension?

did you also buy the tripod that goes with it?

  • I think it's actually 45' max height. Yes, I have extended it fully and yes, it does get harder the higher you go. I have since added the pan servo for rotating the camera.

I bought the tripod with the mast and I also use 3 guy ropes when I extend over 30'.

  • hi, is the mast super stable at full extension in light wind?

  • In my case, no. That is because of the weight of the pan and tilt unit along with the camera. At full extension I use the guy ropes. Maybe a lighter P&T unit and a smaller camera would be fine in light wind.
