Beautiful song. My Daddy passed away when i was only 4 yrs old, so I don't remember to much about him, but having 5 children of my own, the lyrics to this song has made me realize that I am "Daddy" to my children.

I'm lucky to have a father at least even though he and my mom aren't together and he has two other children by another woman and I won't forgive him fully but I never want to loose my father, not forever I lost him once and I thought I'd never get him back but I sort of did and I'm happy with at least having my dad when I need him. I love you dad, you're punkchild will never forget you, ever. And to the people who think its bad to miss a dead beat dad I say don't read it if you don't like it.

my dad wasn't a very good dad when i was living with him. he was a nice person, but he was with my step-mother at the time(and still is), and he just ignored everything that she did. my step-mother was pretty nasty when it came to common sense. she became so nasty that she picked up my little bro and threw him at the gate we had in the front. she threw my little bro so hard, the gate nearly broke! that is all over now, thank god, and we are living with our real mother.

this song was first showed to my friend when she was 5 by her dad and after all these years i still remember the chorus words and now he is dying of throat cancer its odd that after all these years she turned on the computer and went on youtube and this song came on the side of the page.God works in mysterious ways doesnt he? you never know wat you have until its gone so take the time and appreciate life... ; _ ; ^_^

Mine passed away August 1 , 2010 & I was in the room when he took his last breath , to all the people who have lost parent or even ANYBODY they were close to .
