zero was the one who had the virus in him but sigma defeated him and the virus was transferred to him. sigma was able to resist the virus for some mounth but the virus still took over later thats how sigma became a bad guy!!!

I grew up with Classic II on gameboy, then Battle Network 2 (AWESOME), and then got the rest of the BN games, Zero 1, then ZX, then Zero 4, then Starforce 1 Green dragon, skipped SF 2, and got Black ace. I also have X collection on GCN, and the two I forgot: Xtreme 1 and 2 for GBC. I like ALL of the series, but my favorites are Battle Network, Legends, and Starforce. I like all of them, but the X series is definitely not my favorite.

It's said in the backstory for...X4, I believe. Before this, when Zero was first found in the ruins of Wily's lab, Sigma fought him and the Maverick Virus was passed onto him. Some time later, in this movie, it ifnally took effect and became the Sigma Virus.

The story for this makes no sense, if anyone's ever played X4-X6, they'd know Zero was a Maverick created by Dr. Wily, NOT a Maverick Hunter teamed with Sigma.

Let me explain it to you in lamence terms so you can understand.

This takes place AFTER Zero's fight with Sigma. By then, the virus transferred to Sigma, leaving Zero to be taken to Cain's lab to be fixed. Without the virus, Zero chose to side with X, kind of like a heroic thing inside him.

Sigma has the virus all along in this movie, and sets everything into motion so he can betray the maverick hunters.

Right in X4 if you play with Zero, before the battle with sigma, you can see that Zero was a maverick just like you said.

And if you remember in that cut scene Zero was beaten by Sigma. Later he was taken to Dr.Cain which repaired him. Finally he joined Sigma.

Zero was the original Maverick, and he had a fight with Sigma. During their fight, the Virus that Zero carried on his body was transfered over to Sigma. Zero was disabled, and reprogrammed as a Maverick Hunter.

Some time after this, the Virus finally began to affect Sigma, causing the rebellion (Added to Sigma's own revolutionary ideas).

So this story makes perfect sense. This takes place after the Sigma VS Zero fight that we saw in X4.
