I don't want to anger people but I have to say that there is no way that this is the darkest Zelda game.

Majora's Mask is. Everyone who has played that game knows it. Twilight Princess had some dark moments sure. But NOTHING compared to Ikana Valley.

I'm sorry but no Zelda game comes close to the horror of Majora.

Majora's Mask had the forests poisoned, the mountains frozen, the ocean corrupted and the desert haunted by demons and spirits.

Sorry but Twilight isn't THAT bad.

@ZeldaofHyrule777 No, I'm not just saying that. Go listen to some of the music. There is a sense of eminent doom throughout that whole game. A demonic moon sits above the world that you can see throughout the whole game. The world has massive changes to it it's not just twilight. I played a little of MM before but I played through the whole of TP before I went back to MM and completed it. TP's graphics don't make it a darker game.

I personally think they are both dark, but MM is harder! Seriously, never even made it to the first temple and I just gave up--embarassing lol.

Without a doubt the music for that area alone would make it the darkest game in the series let alone the spirits and evil that lurk within it...

MM story: A persecuted child finds a demonic mask eager for revenge against the world which imprisoned it. Together they wreck havoc on the world that cast them aside. With the help of a fairy, Link must awaken the guardians and stop the destruction of the world.
