They just came out with another MicroMosquito called MicroMosquito 4x4 RC Helicopter. Its better then this one because it has 2 back propellers so it even more maneuverable than this one :).Anyway u can get it at RadioShack.

Directional trim changes in ground effect. Also, MM's have an attraction to walls. I got one last Christmas, but it's underpowered now and won't get out of ground effect. Is it the rechargible battery, or the batteries used to charge it? Does the lithium deteriorate on the shelf?

I think unfortunately so, the cheaper batteries they put in them can only be recharged so many times and may be degraded by the time you get it any way. I know what you mean about the attraction to the walls

you have a off brand mosquito. the ones with green lights are in the blade runner series. the flashing headlights one was made by some other company

mines the bomb. I have mastered it. I can fly under tables, swoop go fast forward fly around lights fly down hallways. If my computer wasnt having issues with movie maker having memory errors (when i have 1gb of ram) then id make a vid. but yeah i have flown mine into a moving fan and no breakage. The worst break i have now is a snapped plastic leg. all i gotta do is melt it back together

TIP: dont fly too neer roof (celing) it will suction to it and when you cut down on power to get it foo it falls to its doom!

The light on my controller is now flashing and has stopped working.I changed the battery and problem is still there...any ideas whats wrong?

There is a sequence of controller stick moves that you have to do to make the controller start talking to the heli. Turn on the heli first, then turn on the controller with the throttle in the down position (this is the default position unless you removed the throttle spring). Push the throttle all the way up then all the way down. That should initialize your controller and the heli should respond now.

ya. turn the heli on first then turn the remote on. it will blink. but move the throttle stick up and down until it turns solid. then u should be good. i got mine today and it dosnt even go backwards

I got mine at Radio Shack. Fry's sales an copycat version. And it's a little bigger than the orginal. But they all probably fly the same, just may not last as long.

The copycat versions don't fly well at all. I bought one called Alany - it looks exactly like a Mosquito but it's not nearly as controllable. The only thing I like about it is that the LED's flash different colors.

The green LED's mean it's a genuine Mosquito - the only one that works well.

I also cannot spell, I mean Fyry's "sells" a copycat. And I bet it isn't as good as the original. Probably contains lead and radiator fluid :)

not so fast, you can add little weights on the front so it does a little better, but it mostly does best going more in s swinging arc than straight forward pedal to the metal kind of thing.

I'm thinking about which micro helicopter I should buy, so far I'm all for the picoo Z(sp?). Right now I'm jus doing some more searching. The picoo can actually fly in one direction, what about the mosquito? Do you have to put some weight in front of it?

It's only going up and down because he's filming it and flying it at the same time, meaning he can only use the up and down stick. This helicopter is fully funtional: up,down,foreward,backward,left and right.

Its a helipad. Some mosquito's dont come with a helipad... unluckily mine didnt come with a helipad :(... but i think it depends where u buy it.

was this all in one charge? ive noticed on mine that it has to rest then the battery bilds back up and im going again. ten times better then my cheap picco and replacements are avalable which is awesome.

Yes, it was one continuous shot, I usually get about 7-9 minutes of flight before it can't get off the ground any more.

Using the trim knob is very important. You normally have to give it full gas with one hand and trim with the other till you get it steady. Make sure it's fully charged as well.

ByYourCommand...I have never head of this before. Have you checked for dirt or debris in the rotor heads? I have a RadioShack version and an ebay copy. There is absolutely no difference what-so-ever to fly them or in build quality. 1 difference is the led's on the genuine version are solid green, the copy has led's which change colour. Copies only have a charger plug, and not the 'heli-pad' charging station. Live with the differences, cosmetic though they are, get a copy, save a few £.

Anyone know how to fix this problem I got with the top blade...it don't sit loose like the bottom one, it's kinda rigid, don't spin as well, where the bottom one feels more balanced, the top one is kinda leaning one way or the other. No in between, almost like it's bent, but it don't look out of shape.

Any suggestions?.

I just got mines from radio shack...I was torn between the real one or eBay fakes; but with a 90 day warranty you can't beat the real deal. I crashed it twice and it seems to be built solid.

yes, after adding the waits, it is a lot easier to control forward movement, but now going backwards...not so much :)
