  • Lovely stuff!

  • Doon wi' Bobbie Burns. To be a freemason is to be a traitor to our God, and, derivatively, to our folk.

Anyhoo, I was lookin for the "I'll sin you 1, O!"

  • gorgeous.

  • we are different from the English plain and simple.

  • Some Scots were singing this in Mexico and since then Scottish looking people are known as "Gringos" in Mexico.

  • @captkirkconnell I too heard this growing up in Arizona, but I think gringo actually come from the Spanish for for Greek, which had long been used to mean stranger or foreigner. I still like the Scottish myth better though.

  • Burns must be smiling in heaven when he hears this.

  • My father intruduced me to Dougie when I was a little girl and Ive loved him ever since! I would love to find more of his music on here like his CD 'Real Estate' but there isnt much. Love you Dougie!

  • You make every day worth living with your music!

  • There is nothing more flattering to a musician (at least from my point of view as a Celtic artist) than to have the audience sing the chorus alongside you.

  • Top man

  • Dougie is a master of singing this kind of 'special' Celtic music. His simple and 'true' interpretations are beyond the norm. I rarely wear my hat (over the last 20 years) due to Dougie causing me to take it off to him....on so many occasions.....Cold head...so what? haha

  • Well said!

  • Great song

  • Dougie, thanks!

I see ye in Holland mate, you're great.

    Greets,

    Chester

  • Burns always had the right of it. and no one can give it back to us better than Dougie. he's a treasure to people in all corners of the globe, not just in Scotland.

  • Here here my friend. A living genius, and we should cherish this guy while we have him here, because the world will be a sadder place when he's not.

  • Fantastic

  • Dougie's voice is the perfect instrument for Burn's poignant poetry, thanks for the sweet music

  • excellent;-)

  • Dougie, you are a legend mate!

  • Great song. I'm doing research for my 'Immortal Memory' and I came across this song. Makes me wish I'd studied more of Burns way before now!

  • I first head Dougie sing this about 18 yrs ago, I had just learned to drive and went to the concert. Left spell bound and stil love this version

  • I was at this concert !!! The electricity cut out, but he still played the concert. Then it came back, it was fucking amazong. Good man Dougie!

  • absolutely love this song. It was the first song I ever heard Dougie play at the concert for Lockerbie waaaay back. Been hooked ever since. Thanks for the songs Dougie, you rock (in a Scottish folky kind of way!)

  • A great song again, Dougie
