I already got it! Marshall crunch that hump in the chest, where you ear all notes in mid gain sound. It's my old SE+ converted to PT100. I was just missing the old SE+ high gain, for high gain, I feel you just can't beat the SE+. If I were you, I would keep it and get the PT100 handwired (JS100) instead. My PT100 is 3CH now so I'm doing the opposite by going with the SE+ handwired!!!
The red voyager is most likely an RBM1...made in Japan. The ones made of Mohogany and Koa are RBMNTs. The RBM10s are the really cheap ones...Korean made.
Wasn´t it called RBM2? I´m referring to the one with the koa top, bolivian rosewood neck and EMG´s. I think it´s the one you´re playing on the video. Seems you´re pretty lucky as those ones were quite expensive and were built only for a pair of years or three ;¬)
The one I'm playing is an RBMNT2. I paid a disgusting amount of money to own this guitar and then I bought the Suhr Reb Beach Model and ended up selling all my guitars. Once you go Suhr there is nothing out there that is better.
The shape is very comfortable to play with. I got a couple custom made since these didn't come in 24 frets back in the days they were available, and I prefer the control placement closer to Paul Gilbert's model.
cool tone! saw Reb and the boys at the Cathouse in Glasgow this March after waitin for years to see em .. great show!! Reb is the man \../

Dude, you may want to get the PT100 mods bc thats what Reb just got upgraded to. I may send my amp back to Suhr for the upgrade.

People keep saying the PT100 has loads of gain? Now I'm confused :P
defleputube 2 years ago
Yeah it can get close but still not the liquid modern high gain of the SE+ with the hump in the low mid.

How can you tell the difference between the models? I just bought a guitar like that (secondhand) and it's the red one... What model could that be?

So yours is a RBMNT and mine is RBM1 and none of them are a cheap one?
