  • are you so f**kin serious dude. i bought the zoom box when i just came out. i got the last one from the famous TOys R us. i know its a child place but its right across my house lol. well i bought the zoom box for $249.99$ plus tax wich was like $26?.??$. wich i regret it works but it has to be really dark.

  • what size is the image showing

  • Oh my god what song was that?

  • HEY WHERE DO YOU GET IT CHEAP? I CAN ONLY FIND IT FOR 100 dollars! tell me

  • does anyone know the difference between this zoombox and the first one.I still have the original and was just wondering if this one had anything special on it.

  • dude where did you get it? its now EXPENSIVE!! tell me

  • hey man can you tell me how you played the 360 on the torpedo, when i change 360 settings to pal 60 the torpedo picture flickers??

  • sorry, torpedo is ntsc only so far...perhaps there will be a Pal version soon, but for now it looks like you should refund this.

  • Yeah there is a PAL one too. What he did was buy the NSTC projector I live in Uk an I got the same thing in PAL it's called the AL-100 Alien Entertainment Projector.

  • You need the same version as me The Pal version is called the AL-100 Alien Entertainment Projector. you can get um on ebay although that doesn't solve the one you already have.

  • Get an IN1, Its much better

  • i just got this projector , its great with white colors but once u get to black you cant see the image , dont wast your money . im returning mine, save up and get a nice one for around 600 dollars.

  • I'm sure with abit of modification you can make it work really well.

  • What kind of modification do you suggest?

  • it would involve taking it apart an replacing the lamp, and the piece that produces the screen door effect if I remember ( I sold mine for an HD one) but with those two upgrades I know you can improve video quality.

  • is that how it really looks like or is just the camera?

  • In my review #2 I show you this thing up close to the screen and from farther away. Farther away, (although the camera doesn't catch it), the human eye can still see the "window screen" effect, but it's not that horrible. I mean, it's a toy after all and can't be compared to "the real thing".

  • Im looking at these and ive been wondering should I get a torpedo or zoombox? does the torpedo have a remote? And they stopped selling these on walmart a week ago, so should i try ebay or what?

  • I was reading about zoombox and it doesn't have something that the Torpedo does, but I can't remember what that was. For what it's worth, I got mine on ebay cheaper, even with shipping, than what I'd have to pay at target plus sales tax. The ONLY drawback to torpedo is the "screen door" effect. It's like the picture is being projected through window screening, but that doesn't bother us. It's a fun little thing to have. I accidentally dropped it 3 times and it's still going.

  • No, there is no remote. Basically, your dvd/xbox is a "tv" but with no monitor. You don't even NEED a tv if you use this. Use the remote for your dvd/tv or whatever you're using. All you have to do to the projector is turn it on or off once you get it set up (in focus and that kind of thing).

  • Hey man where do you get your replacement bulbs at and have you found which one work's bestAnd has your bulbs lasted a good while. Thanks

  • havent needed a replacement bulb yet

I bet the website might have some info on the type of bulb.

Lowes is where I get my bulbs for my high end projectors

  • where did you get it for 60 buck everywhere i see it is over 200

  • walmart online

  • We discovered that the image is much better on, literally, a silver screen. We pointed at the base of the tv, which is a silver kind of plastic (most electronics come in this kind of casing) and the image was MUCH brigher. Can't wait for summer...projecting onto a silver tarp outside in the backyard...that should be fun for movie night!

  • This little projector ROCKS! Just got ours today and am VERY happy with it!!

  • hi, i tried this and it keeps flashing on pal 60, do you know how to fix this as it will not let me play halo 3

  • I dont know what pal 60 is...if it is your video style like "PAL" for UK and "NTSC" for US then I do believe you need to import NTSC cables to work with the projector if it is built for NTSC.

I hope that is what I think is the problem..try to do some research first...like try asking on yahoo answers..they might provide info. I am sorry but I do not know any further info into the topic.

  • pal 60 is basically the European version of NTSC, i think NTSC runs at 50-60Hz, pal 50 is 50Hz so shows 50 frames per second, and pal 60 is 60 Hz and so shows 60 frames per second.

the game halo 3 runs at pal 60 and so on the projector that displays 50hz only it would not show colour, it would be flashy as the 10 missing frames and it would glitch.

i'm going to resell my projector on ebay, hopefully someone will buy it, I'll get one to work or just get a bigger tv.

    thanks for all your help.

  • sorry to see it couldnt work out.. maybe if you imported both parts of the problem, xbox and projector that perhaps the problem can be solved ..but then you may as well buy a real projector...damn..sucks....

  • Crizzlec donde compraste tu projector zoombox?

  • hi men how lummens?

  • Es bastante brillante, pero solamente cuando las luces en el cuarto están apagadas. No proyecta bien en cuartos brillantes.

  • It uses a 35 watt halogen bulb if that's any indication of lumens...even with a lamp on in the room, I can still see an image on the wall well enough to watch. It's a fun little toy, not as bad as some people make it to be. I mean, don't expect HD out of it, ya know? LOL

  • I OWN A ZOOMBOX - GREAT!

  • how good does this look at 100"? and are there any major issues with it? (btw quality is horrible) xDD o well best camera you had =)

  • The image you see is about 5 feet by 4 feet

5 wide 4 high I dont dimensions of real inch ratios. But I have managed to project the image at about 7 feet by 8

    7 high 8 wide

The image gets bad at about 7 feet away and farther. But if you can remember what buttons do what, then there shouldnt be a big deal with see-ing the image.

  • does the proector dots across when u use it?

  • The "dots" you see are the harpened pixels used to show the image better due to poor lighting

  • Thanks!! I've been looking for some video showing this thing in action.

I'm needing a cheap projector for a project to make my basement into a retro theater...and this looks to be pretty much perfect!!

    Thanks!!!
