I have to say that I am really touched by this interview. I don't mind saying that I have always identified strongly with his character, Billy, and I had a major crush on David Yost. My choice of favorite color was hugely influenced by him. I'm also gay. Watching this interview, I found out that I identify with David just as much or more than Billy. I had a nervous breakdown the year this was filmed, so I know what he went through. So thank you David for sharing your story. I hope you're well.<3

Yes, David Yost looks older than I even thought he would.

However, I don't think his "aging" came naturally, or due to a significant amount of drug and alcohol abuse. He looks like he's gone through some really, really difficult times in his life. And that type of stress does display outwardly to a person's physical appearance. It does happen.

I wish some would be a little more sensitive to that and not bash him. He gave all of us good memories.

In my personal opinion, I think David Yost is still HOT!!! (You know what they say, "Things get better with age"). I loved him when he was on all of the Power Rangers tv shows & the movie versions. I think David would have loved to have directed/co-produced RPM. Considering the quality of those episodes in spite of the behind-the-scenes drama (Eddie Guzelian being fired and replaced by Chip/Judd Lynn) He would've liked to have been a part of bringing those episodes to the small screen.

I didn't know Yost was gay until later one after he was in Power Rangers, and no, I wouldn't have known unless I read about it. He is more conservative, similar to Neil Patrick Harris - and can play straight and do quite well. He also looks quite good for his age - as does Amy Jo JOhnson, both in their late 30s, 40s now. Some of the rangers don't look good for their age now.

Amy Jo Johnson is on a series called Flashpoint. Walter Jones acts and does voice over work. The original yellow ranger died in a car crash in 2001. Before that, she had gone back to being a civil engineer like before she got the show. Austin St. John (red) has disappeared.

He is the oldest of all the original rangers. They were all like 17 on the show, but in real life, he was about 24 when it started. The others were younger. He doesn't look bad now, but damn, he used to be hott. Now he is just ok. Had no idea he was gay. I guess it's not a big deal though. It doesn't change the fact that he is the best blue ranger of all time.
