assassin's creed is a great game. did not stop playing it just because it was becoming popular. sad that some people, who did not even play/finish the game just because of the "pop culture" thing, were arrogant and thought that all the assassin's creed gamers know nothing about renaissance. but it is also sad that some people could not separate fact from fiction.

They didn't rip of AC because AC didn't make the family... My opinion is they likely used Assassins Creed as inspiration to make the show. Because AC 2 came out looong before this show, and Rodrigo was featured in it, then Cesare and Lucretzia came into the game in Brotherhood. So I feel they perhaps used it for inspiration...not ripped off.

I saw the first episode. It's freaking awesome, and beautifully shot. The son Cesare is a real piece of work. And Rodrigo's excuses to his longtime mistress about his new mistress (She needed someone!) are amusingly flimsy. But it's amazing, better than the Tudors, I think.

Aw, I remember when I saw an advertisement for this series. It said, "Borgia..." and I screamed, "EZIO!" which of course scared my parents out of their skin.

He was known as first off one of the only Pope's to have a known mistress, and children and also for being the Pope who had "1000 Mistresses" though that's just propaganda, even though he did have mistresses. One of them according to legend was his own daughter. Look it up, he was real in histroy. I leanred about him in my AP Wolrd History Class
