Chang was an absolute horrible matchup for Rios. Chang could run down almost everything, was mentally strong and wasn't discouraged by Rios hitting those great winners from time to time, was a very well rounded player who could attack the net of second serves, and was much more consistent. No, he didn't hit as many "genius" shots like Rios, but he also didn't spray UEs as Rios could do when trying to hit those breathtaking shots.

Yes. Chang was always considered among his peers as a great athlete. When he was tested at an Olympic training center as a young boy, they said he scored well above average in every category, except height. Anyways, both these guys were extremely quick. I saw this match and always thought it underrated. Amazing "gets" for the whole match. Rios played tough in this match, if only he could have had mental strength like Chang his whole career who knows what he might have done, but he was a flake.
