  • ants walk in a line ...

  • Those animations' quality is INCREDIBLE!

  • now there is a supermotherboard ASUS P6T7 WS that can hold 24 gb of memory ram and 4 graphic cards is that a good choice or is a waste of money for rendering because i was planing to buy 10 of this motherboards with a lot of memory ram and 4 graphic cards for each is that smart or is the most stupidly thing in the world i would do please i need advice

  • processors do the rendering

  • sooo what's better for rendering clusters being GPU or CPU and how big is the difference in numbers ,i heard about a software caledd KERKYTHEA is that useful for rendering maya ,what i want more is to spent my money in hardware or software being careful in costs please help me with some information

  • Wow...this is one of the most professional reels I've seen. I take it you're in Hollywood and you're booked solid!

  • I love those bunnies!! The storks too!

  • great

  • that was great!! i love character animation and you are very good at it!! amazign i would hire you for a project too

  • Yeah, I got to say,... so so you know...

No man dude, I'm just kidding, that's freaking brilliant!!! =) Absolutely amazing! You got yourself a fan.

  • Lose the music, let's see how well the lipsync works.

  • Awesome!

Did the fish always have teeth? They seem out of place.

  • thanks,

well, it's a cartoony fish, and he's got human teeth... that's what the client wanted :)

I think it's ok, as long as it's not a realistic one.

  • That's one of the best one of these I've seen. Almost all of the them had detailed environments unlike most of the other demo reals I've seen. Also this is the first one I've seen with any animals. Great Work!

  • Thanks,

Most of the work here, are real projects, not

personal animations, thats why they are more

    "complete".

The advantage of personal animations, is that

you have all the time to make it perfect.

Real projects, have deadlines, so you have

to animate FAST... I had about 4-5 hours, to animated each of the shots in these prjects.

    (~1.5-2 shots a day)

  • Working on real projects, usually invloves

more than 1 person, so I am in charge of all

animation shown here, but some of the other

non-animation stuff, was done by others.

  • nice how long have you been animating for?

ive only started on some basic work only been doing animation for 2months in face so its very basic!

  • I am doing 3D since 1991 :)

    and CG since I was 9yo (1982)

    So thats a loooong time..

  • home made animation would u take a look at my sample also

  • Great! You're awesome,man! Were your work?

  • Now that's! what I call imagination, creativity and animation! very unique and different from other B.S.learning animators with all the same looking boring characters and animations that come from expensive schools like animation mentor, and vancouver film school. This demo reel Rocks the socks off of other ones I've seen!

  • so gooodd

  • GREAT work!

  • nice works!

  • to put it in idiotic terms (for my understanding), is a showreel a 3d portfolio?

  • Yah, I think so.

  • Really nice!

  • I think you`re rich...

When did you started animating(what age?) cuz I am 13 and I would want to be an animator like you...

  • hehe I am not rich :)

    I started animating at age 9 (that's 1982)

    doing flipbooks on study books.

    I started 3D in 1990-91.

  • wow..you're really good!

  • Really good work, most impressive, good pace too. Like the ants.

  • Awesome work!

  • awsome animation!

  • top line animation, very good o.o

  • i guess you work for PIXAR animation studio...

    Gr8 animation....

  • antz amazing

  • Very nice, very nice indeed! You know how to animate... it was a pleasure to watch... lovely weight, good timing!

  • Very nice, I'm actually a little envious. I too am a character animator, not as good as you but getting there. If you would like to see my 2006 demo just search Duck Dodgers Disney. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • masta blast..

  • This is pro.

  • Great job!!! I love the blue elephant!

  • awesome animation! love your work! the directing really brought each piece together.

  • I just love the rabbits and the fish!!! You're a pro. I guess you work in a big company?

  • a very brainny plot, witty and awesome!!

  • This might be an 2006 demo reel but the CGI quality is 2007. So is this done outta the box with no plugin just Softimage|XSI app? Livewire-

  • very nice ondeedy you work in advertizing?? which do you think its easy for a 3d artist to get into now the games industry or advertizing???

  • awesome video mate, do u rate xsi over maya? as im currently using maya, which takes ages to do anything wit, but saw a demo of someone using xsi and it lookd a bit easier for rigging etc! wots ur opinion dude?

  • thanks!

I dont know maya that good, but from what I heard,

rigging and skinning is easier in XSI.

    cheers,

    Oz.

  • Do you do all your own rigging? I tried for years to teach myself character animation and could never figure it out. So I settled on rendering and 2d animation. Just started a Character class with Maya, and finally figured it out. Love your work.

  • klap klap klap

    Perfect

  • Oh gosh. This is awesome! I wish i can animate like you do.

  • Uber professional style!!

  • Seriously impressive!! Self taught!?! How long have you been doing this stuff? do you work for any paticular company?

  • AWSOME vid man!! what programs do you use?? Im guessing Maya... Combustion? Shake? Blender?

  • Ehhh.. thanks: XSI,FLAME,After FX ;)

  • Very nice man very nice your animation skills are top notch, I would tell you what to improve on but I see no flaws in your work. If you get a second feel free to check out my demo reel and tell me what you think :D

  • WHICH COLLEGE DID U GO TO, or where did u learn/ take animation courses

  • thanks guys...

Brooklynboy235, Actually I never went to college,

and I never studied animation or art... I am self taught :)

  • You taught yourself? How did you did that??! what software did you used?

  • Thanks, I started doing 3D 15-16 years ago, and computer graphics 24 years ago, since I was 9 or 10 :)

there was no other way, other than teaching yourself.

No internet, no schools no books.. just some magazines..

    I use Softimage|XSI.
