I have seen some of these pictures before, and everytime I visit Athens I try to recognise what they depict amonsgst the ugly cement and glass structures of the modern city. Unfortunately, only the ancient monuments are recognisable today. The city gives the impression that it was built without any plan in mind.

Athens today is very expensive, apart from transportation and house rentals. In any other case is expensive, but cheap air tickets can be found easily. It deserves a visit but you'll like it only if you have a local moving you around!! I'm preparing a video with modern Athens photos!
