Black Dots is my favorite BBs album, its an early recording made live in a basement studio in 1979, gives you a really good picture of where they were when they started out. Worth adding to your collection if you dont have it. I saw them 7 years ago in DC. Total mind blower, I'd say they are the greatest hardcore band of all time.

I think Middle Class is the first hardcore punkband, but they started at the same time as Black Flag and DOA was the first band that used the term on their Hardcore 81 album. But Bad Brains definatly redefined the sound. Ah fuck it, just listen to the music.
