My Corvette ZR1 will do 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds and I have personally driven it at 207mph, with no mods. I appreciate the other great cars and have Ferrari and Porsche in my collection of mostly European sportscars, but the ZR1 simply does not get the respect it deserves.

@DANCEmachine91 I assume you are aware that at Big Willow the ZR1 handled better than and trounced the Porsche 911 Turbo. When each car was driven by Justin Bell the ZR1 was more than 3.5 seconds quicker around the track, and clearly handled well, being better even through the high speed right hander, one of the toughest corners on any track. I have both cars in my collection so no reason to prefer one over the other, but comments like yours just demonstrate a lack of empirical knowledge.

@spankdiddy196 koenigsegg broke mclarens 242 record with their 2nd supercar, the lineup is veyron ss at 267.8 mph, ssc at 256 mph, veyron at 253 and koenigseggs ccx at 250, however they have released a ccxr with slightly more power than the veyron they claim can hit 259 but havent tested it that fast yet (too unstable at those speeds)
@johnchannetshow the gtr does 193 and the new 2012 model is said to hit 196 with an additional 50 or so hp. that speed can be broken by a 1987 porsche 959 and the 1988 F40, which was the first production car to break 200 mph. also with a good enough launch both those can nearly match the gtr to 60 and 100.

All in all, the fastest production car in the world gets it's power from good old American muscle. It is of course the Keating which has exceeded 260mph. Now I know It's officially a British car, but it gets its power form Nelson Racing in Southern California. God Bless America! My Corvette ZR1 will do 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds and I have personally driven it at 207mph, with no mods. I appreciate the other great cars and have Ferrari and Porsche in my collection of mostly European sportscars, but the ZR1 simply does not get the respect it deserves.

@DANCEmachine91 I assume you are aware that at Big Willow the ZR1 handled better than and trounced the Porsche 911 Turbo. When each car was driven by Justin Bell the ZR1 was more than 3.5 seconds quicker around the track, and clearly handled well, being better even through the high speed right hander, one of the toughest corners on any track. I have both cars in my collection so no reason to prefer one over the other, but comments like yours just demonstrate a lack of empirical knowledge.

@wbpjrbill - fully agree, in fact it is electronic limited to 330km/h due to the tires, it would go faster. It is one of the most affordable and practical super cars today and made one the fastest laps on the famous Nürnenburgring.

@spankdiddy196 koenigsegg broke mclarens 242 record with their 2nd supercar, the lineup is veyron ss at 267.8 mph, ssc at 256 mph, veyron at 253 and koenigseggs ccx at 250, however they have released a ccxr with slightly more power than the veyron they claim can hit 259 but havent tested it that fast yet (too unstable at those speeds)

@johnchannetshow the gtr does 193 and the new 2012 model is said to hit 196 with an additional 50 or so hp. that speed can be broken by a 1987 porsche 959 and the 1988 F40, which was the first production car to break 200 mph. also with a good enough launch both those can nearly match the gtr to 60 and 100.
