when you start the chapter there is a cabinet. Examine it and it should say: You found a machine gun.This is a very extreme weapon to have in a hospital! then it should be in your inventory

The buzz-saw takes time, and the killer slugs will swarm around you faster 'cause they're drawn to the sound, like the blind chest-maws. However, the chest-maws will run right into the spinning blade (snap-crackle-pop) and die, while the slugs will dodge it. Save the buzz-saw as a last resort, and you'd better hope that you only have one or two more wall-mouths to kill.

This is how I did it (SPOILERS).

First I destroyed the four nearest ones by the door (including the one on the blindsight with the saw). Then still standing at the door I used the machine gun to destroy every one possible, which was like half of them. I rotated around so I could hit others while others were still flashing red. If done right it only takes a few machine gun bullets and 3 shot gun shells.

After that, I tried to destroy the others at a safe distance.

Yeah, the video shows a good start, but the player still takes off way too soon. You can destroy the ones in the far distance and on the side walls!

Also, machine gun bullets and 3 shotgun; replace AND with OR.

I was able to kill them with one shotgun shell and one handgun. Each. They can't take hits as they flash, so you're wasting ammo that way.
