This is classic...from the strong accent to the 'DON'T TAKE THAT ROAD' advice...I mean we all joke about that type of direction giving here(ireland),and for you to have it on video is just so funny, it has made my day!
this guy is a typical Ulster farmer.....phrases suchs a "I couldnt mind the half of it!" and "hes a decent man!"....I am from Donegal and he reminds me of a lot of people
We do have a tendency to add 'right' at the end of every phrase, as in 'Ye go down that road, right, and take left, right, and then ye're there, right'.
But he was very patient with you dense Yanks. 'Do ye want to go? There's no point me telling ye if ye don't want to go' I mean, he had to spell 'Joe' for ye.
@rickbot76 A lot of southern Irish can barely understand Northern Irish. The accents are super strong up north. Plus he said cav instead of calf. That doesn't make any sense to anyone on Earth.
@pcfish913 came across it on facebook! where was that filmed if you dont mind me asking? and heres another video you may enjoy, it couldve helped you translate!:D
@gforce1710 It seems the great-great grandparents of the man in the video (Jim) were married in the church that once stood where the cemetary is now. That church had quite a history and Jim was able to bring pictures and a great story back to his family in Chicago/Springfield

I think there is some confusion, these directions are perfectly sensible. This video should be categorised under "Geography" not "Comedy"!
