God damn! I never thought I'd see the Avengers! I can't blame them for not coming to Salt Lake City. I got to see X a couple of times and also lots of bands that weren't nearly as good as the first California wave. Wish I'd seen UXA and The Nuns and such. Ah well, I'm just grateful for this video! I agree this is a great clip form one of California's punk pioneers. I started to go to shows in LA in the fall of 1979 and never got a chance to see them. So many truly amazing bands back then, Avengers, Rik L Rik, Negative Trend, The Weirdos, to name a few that never got the same respect as over rated bands like black flag, circles jerks, fear etc. Avengers were as good they get back in the day ...

No way -- it's the version on the Avengers' "pink album" CD. All of Penelope's ad libs are identical, and the sound is way too clear.
