  • nice jolly roger bay remix

  • Umm...I have 2 Cpu one next to Wii and the other at the other side of the house. The Cpu next to the Wii doesn't have Windows movie maker on it, but the other one does. Does this matter?

  • Not one bit. Windows Movie Maker is always with us in our hearts. To get Windows Movie Maker to appear anywhere, you'll need a picture of the windows logo, candles and some incense. You can also use the alternative technique of voodoo.

  • can it work with windows 7?

  • @luisParson the flashin colurs is because your usb slot is not fast enough to handle the dazzle

  • In window movie maker, I'm trying to record a video tape in the VCR but it keeps making flashing colors and it lags a lot. This is without the game console and only the VCR and Dazzle.

  • Your tape may be ruined. I suggest trying a new tape.

  • But the tape looks fine on the TV. I'll try a different tape and see what happens.

  • In that case, other people have reported the same thing. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate a fix. You could try cleaning out your RCA hook ups with a dry cotton swab or something. Apparently dust really bothers it.

  • how u record like do u press something to record for the dazzle

  • Thx :D

Btw, what's the name of the music playing during the Movie? I know it's one of Super mario 64's Theme, but which one is it? xD :o

  • afaik Dire Dire Docks (Remix)

  • oops sry bout that commnt i just saw the thing in description

    lol XD

  • where do you buy them from

  • i have a dazzle hooked up and everything and i cant find how to capture from device please reply

  • Some operating systems do not come equipped with Windows Movie Maker. If you purchased Dazzle used it may not have come with a disc, in which case you will need a driver for it. The driver depends on your "DVC" version which is located on the underside label.

This tutorial honestly explains the rest. Any off tutorial guidance would be (literally) parroting what's already in here.

  • i would just download pinnincal stuidos 12 ultamte from a torrent site o.O

  • Something to capture. Heh, I'd laugh my ass off if someone tried to capture their turned off TV, and then took the recorder back saying it was broken. I'd love to buy that Dazzle recorder, unfortunately, I only

    ALMOST have enough now.

  • to be honest, i have a little thing called a diamond vc500, and you dont need a dvd/vhs player, and the quality is better than brawl vids of yours ive seen

  • Nice, but I have my computer upstairs and my wii downstairs, can I do the same but with a laptop?

  • Most likely.

  • For those of you who think that Windows movie maker is a quality rape, You can easily record it straight on youtube. Just use the live capture feature and select Dazzle as your cam. Then record what you want to. Thats in example for a replay. Windows movie maker is good for those things you can't get Replays with.

Great job on the tutorial, I'm gonna get a Dazzle and try this out ^^.

  • Thank you for this great video.

It really did help me in my condition.

    :D

  • not only is this a stupid comment, but it doesent even sound very insulting

  • yo i got dazzle platinum and i got windows movie maker and when you say to click file>> capture video. There is no capture video please help cuz i no how to get HD quality.

  • you have to use the software that comes with it! DUH :s

  • Lol i just got the 4444th view nice vid dude just wanted to see ur way and its a pretty good one

  • theres a way that doesnt involve all that it just takes longer

  • When I record with my Dazzle on WMM, they come out good but a little blurry. (I record the game "The Warriors".) But, I don't use a VCR/DVD, I just plug all the leads all into my Dazzle and TV (using Y-Adapters). Could this be why they come out blurry? Please reply.

  • best buy and circuit city links are dead :P

  • look up pinnacle instant dvd recorder, that is also dazzle

  • ummm, you do realize that half of the people looking at this wont look for it, theyll just say dead link, or wont say anything at all, i was just being helpful to johnny.

  • yeah i know

  • Yeah, my new computer came with a built in capture card, so I capture from TV to PC then to get rid of the horible capture card marks I use Vegas Pro 8.0 and for capture software I use Cyber Link DVD suite delux. Nice though.

  • is there anything else i could use instead of dazzle? like a webcam WITH built in microphone?

  • you could use an easycap - about £10/$20

  • i don't have easycap, and i don't want it, would a camera with a built in mic' work??

  • Yes, but I use EasyCAP, and it's brilliant quality. I would reccomend getting it, it's really cheap!

  • I heard it makes really bad quality. :/

  • No, i use it on my vids (look at the trailer - i used vegas for that one)

  • you can also buy the dazzle at fry's

  • does the wmm work with wmm 2.6 at 2:48

  • Thanks for the tut! Appreciate it!

  • I cant capture video in my Movie maker.. it dont even show this option.. any help? I have Movie maker which was installed with Windows Vista Home Premium

  • the Vista WMM does not have the option

    only windows XP SP2

  • I use Windows movie maker as well. Although Im not that bothered about high quality I need help, how do you just capture footage never mind high quality?

  • can u do this with flip video and without dazzle?

  • Can´t you just play and capture with a dvd recorder? o.O

  • hey a got a ?.since my VCR is well, old, i did everything in the video, but for some starange reason i can ee what goin on in the wii on the computer, but my Tv's blank at the same time.should i consider playin the wii on my computer?

  • oops nvm i figured it out all i had to do was go to channel 3 so i feel stupid...

  • check out the True HD videos not for the cartoons but the quality is "HOLY SHIT!" good.

  • I know a better quality way.

  • no i have everything but a dazzle wat in the blue hell is tht? link plz help me

  • HeroOfTime327 - The link the buy the Dazzle DVD Recorder is in the description.

  • ty so much!

  • I think I'll just use a camera thats more simple.

  • starwolf i think i agree.... that seems like a lot of wires and complicated stuff

  • I like your audio. Some remix of Jolly Roger Bay from Super Mario 64 correct?

  • wat exacly is a dazzle?

  • Links to what Dazzle is are located in the description. How to use it is in the tutorial. Judging by the tutorial's name (high quality "video") and the images given through both the three links/paint program images in the video, we can assume that Dazzle is a device which allows you to capture video clips directly from your TV of tri-color wires (red, yellow, white) if you are on a very crammed set up.

  • I have 1 BIG Problem my Windows Movie Maker cant seem to find my dazzle platinum. and my dazzle works fine with the pinnacle studio 10

Does Any 1 Knows how to solve this problem?

  • It should be right there from the start. Are you using Windows XP or Vista?

  • Im using XP but it says that it cant find any capture device

  • Same is happening to me

  • Download USB drivers.

  • No Thats Not The problem. my dazzle works fine. but movie maker cant seem to find it.

  • I have Easycap DC60 capture card. It was only 20 bucks (which I believe is cheaper) and the software that comes with the video is really nice.

  • i got one but it doesnt capture in 60hz :( so i got a dazzle

  • OK, this is a bit unrelated, but what was the name of the song you used in this tutorial? It's awesome. Great tutorial by the way.

  • Oh, never mind. I found it. Still awesome tutorial. I may just try that myself. I'll have some free time this summer, lol.

  • Where do I get Windows Movie maker?

  • If you have a Windows computer, it comes installed from the factory. Start -> Search -> Windows Movie Maker. Be sre to create a short cut on the desk top or pin it to the start menu for convenient access.

  • Thanks, I found it.

  • In one of the comments, you said this was specifically for XP. Will it work for glitchy Vista? And is it laptop compatible? (I just think it would be easier to use my laptop instead of a PC, and my laptop has Vista)

  • I wish I could answer such a question, but I've only ever tried it on Windows XP. Perhaps one day when I get Vista (not soon) I'll answer that. However, if someone (not you, so please don't take this as a hint of some sort =p) were to provide me (someone I trust) with the information, I would also get it up there (description) as soon as possible. About the lap top thing, it will work. I know a person who uses his with a lap top. He just has to unplug it when not in use for obvious reasons.

  • I just got dazzle yesterday and it works fine on my laptop with vista. The only problem is you can't capture vhs tapes directly to wmm in vista. What I do is use the program that came with dazzle to get a .vob file then edit in wmm. =)

    nice tutorial

  • What program came with it. i have the same problem

  • Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder

  • Grrr... I got the dazzle, but it lags... Any tips?

  • The problem is your computer. Restart before using it each time to ensure that you won't lag. If that does not work, I have another solution that I will wait to tell you of.

  • Does this also work for Macintosh? That's the computer I have.

  • I'm sorry, the product I use is designed specifically for Windows XP. the method I would suggest for you is to purchase a DVD recorder and rip your videos straight from the DVD onto the computer. I'm 100% certain Macintosh computers can handle that. =) (And if they can't, then may whatever deity the creator's each believe have mercy on their souls)

  • OK, it didn't work... It lags still...

  • Open the "Capture Video" window and hit "Next" two times. You will see a line that raeds "Best quality for playback on my computer (reccomended)." Look just a few lines down and click the check circle for "Other Settings." Choose "High quality video (small)."

    That should eliminate your lag.

  • lol nice diagrams

  • *turns comments into a Windows Movie Maker bashing happy fun time*

  • I said Avisynth was better, and my comment disappeared O_o

  • Probably because that wasn't the point of the video, the point of the video was to show those wondering how to get good quality videos to youtube. Windows Movie Maker might not be the best, but for youtube, its good enough.

Good job LDA. Great tutorial. I'm sure this will help a lot of people.

  • To get good quality out of WMM, when you are selecting the movie settings, choose " Windows Media Portable Device (1.0 Mbps) " and your video will come out great! Trust me, I used it.

  • Few Questions...

Does dazzle require a CD drive? Mines jammed....

  • OH,a nd does it work with a composite?

  • You need the Dazzle software in the CD. It also works with composite.

  • Last question...

Can you install the software on a flash drive, and copy it to your computer?
