When Korea became part of Japan, many Koreans applied to join Imperial Army of Japan to fight for our country (JAPAN) with this flag of RISING SUN.
Do you even know, the number of Koreans wanted to be in Jpn military? The competitive ratio for Koreans to become soldiers of Jpn military was more than 50 times. and some of the Koreans who wasn't qualified to join JPN military , got depressed and committed suicide. Not all, but many to most, because the Japanese military needed so many men. Koreans didn't love Japan. If they did, they wouldn't celebrate their Independence Day Aug 15.

That flag is a symbol of infamy and should be discontinued and replaced by something different that is not offensive to non-Japanese. Japan has never formally apologized for Unit 731 and all of the other atrocities that the Japanese committed during the war, so they should apologize and pay continuing reparations to the families and relatives of the victims that they waged war on.
