If he was the next Bure as every hockey pundit said he'd be, then by God the hockey world will never see three of the world's best Russian players play in each of the three biggest NHL teams.
once again i reccomend people to watch the last 1 minute and a half of this video...where alexei talks about coming to the NHL and rangers, it gets me teary eyed...goodbye to the top skaing prospect in years for the NYR organization
agreed. kid was gonna be something special. more goals than ovechkin his rookie year in the same league. damn.... hockey takes a big blow from this tragedy. RIP
"The victims, normally fit and healthy young men and women, usually die suddenly when their heart stops for no apparent reason. Some collapse and die while playing sport, whole others pass away in their sleep..."

here´s a list of some Players that died in the USA during or right after a game:
Thomas Herrion, Corey Stringer, J.V. Cain, Chuck Hughes, the list goes on through all sports IN THE US.
lance, how did they die, all i know is that guy on Detroit in 2005 had this happen to him and he's alive today because there are standards in this country to protect players, the fact that there was no ambulance or defibrillators is a joke.
Steeljawz: No there is absolutly NO truth to that claim. Putin and the Government are investigating why the ambulence had left the arena. Also, why would Putin kill him and not some other guy like Jagr or even Ovechkin? (PRAY TO GOD NO) R.I.P Alexei!
@rocksuperstarkaos He wouldnt, nothing to do with the NHL. He wasnt able to play hockey and his doctor told him this fact but he still wanted to play, was his own fault. RIP
@rocksuperstarkaos He wouldnt, nothing to do with the NHL. He wasnt able to play hockey and his doctor told him this fact but he still wanted to play, was his own fault. RIP
Its not what we should remember, its this that he was amazing. I didint know about him before but i've got the feeling world lost great person and player. :( Rest in peace
holy #$%! I still cant believe what happend. It's sad to see such a talent go at such a young age, this should never had happend. This kid was going to make a big name for himself in the nhl and north america. Just so sad to see things go this way, He was 19!....
Still nice to see the many people paying tribute to him back in Russia and here. He deserved way better than this!
That is exactly what the Rangers need: a guy who stays in front of the net and fires the puck in. Last season they depended on Jagr too much and never took the open shots when they had them.
He would have been amazing... Great hockey sense. Great blend of playmaking and goalscoring qualities. Player that reminds me of him is Tarasenko.

As is tradition with the Rangers, how long do you think it will take for the Rangs to destroy this guys career?

he will have a great career, but not with the Rangers. They will trade him for an over paid aging veteran.
