  • I read somewhere that this film was banned in Singapore because it showed a girl being rude to her parents !!...I wonder what they would have made of the strip scene later in the film.

  • Sixteen-year-old Gillian Hills really knew how to make herself the center of attention, didn't she? The camera loved her.

  • wow - check young oli :) what year was this from? 53-55

  • Right around 4:40 is when Ollie's drugs kick in!

  • Ollie dancing very......orginal xD

  • love the instant echo chamber on the Elvis clone, lol (Adam Faith)

  • @EwolDJ That, and the fact that he's not even TRYING to look as if he's playing that guitar.

  • @scotpens Yep! He needed a drum, so the guitar was there! Actually, fellow British rocker Jess Conrad does the same bongoing-on-the-guitar in "Young, Willing, and Eager", another British teens-in-trouble flick.

  • Bloody hell, Ollie - are you sure you got a good enough look at her arse??

  • Thanks for posting this vid from a rare movie !

  • Oliver Reed and Adam Faith were in fact lovers, dispite thier hardman outer appearance, they loved nothing more than holding hands, and collecting wild flowers.

  • Who's the chap drinking cough syrup?

  • Which one is Oliver Reed?

  • @stafylides it's ok, i found him!!!

  • @stafylides

    cuter or what.

  • @stafylides i think he's the guy in the check shirt... just guessin'

  • What is the name of the tune she dances to at the end of this clip?

  • @maydhyam I just think it's called 'Theme To Beat Girl' as it's also played at the opening credits.

  • I wish my friends would dance with me like this. All teens do now is the smoking and drinking part without any good music. It's so annoying. All the nasty rap Miley Cyrus lady gaga bullshit.

  • @bunnywailer14 I agree we were born 20 years to late

  • Oliver Reed "Hey, Baby, you feel terpiscorical?" Must try that one.

  • Oli is all fucked up at 4:40

  • Love the sandals and socks look at 3.53.. only beaten by Crocs

  • British beatniks! What is this world coming to? It looks like they've been taking lessons from America's most famous beatnik, Maynard G. Krebs. I wonder if "Dobie Gillis" was shown on the BBC back then? But on the other hand, these Brit kids sure know how to rock! And that Gillian, with her "Brigitte Bardot" look, makes for VERY nice eye candy! Flirting on the edge of juvenile delinquincy. Seems like daddy should have been more liberal in the use of the slipper on her naughty behind.

  • Hey it's Bill Sykes as a young punk!

Yeah, Oliver Reed is 'over the top'.

  • Has anyone got Oliver Reed singing a joke track called "Ecstasy" If you have, could you upload it. It's a scream.

  • If you pause the video at 4:43 and look at the close up of Oliver Reed, am I the only one who sees a resemblance with Rob Lowe?! Really random I know but still!!

  • Would be nice to see Christopher Lee in his sleezy role!

  • Bit of rubbish info for you: Oliver Reed was the nephew of Carol Reed, the film director and probably how he got into films in the first place. Just before Beat Girl was made Jim Dale (of Carry-on fame) made a demo record for Oliver Reed to emulate, but Reed couldn't hack it, I'm told by someone who worked at Pinewood Studios in those days.

  • Not surprising, if his singing was anything like his vocal performance fifteen years later in "Tommy."

  • He drank the rest of his life to try and forget the way he dances and the stupid expression on his face, looks like his filling his pants.

  • Great John Barry instrumental. Oliver Reed should have got an oscar for his part in this film!

  • Oliver looks like he is having an orgazm

  • oliver does look nice but im sorry but it has to be said that he cant dance lol

  • I managed to get the LP of this soundtrack on a gorgeous green and gold Columbia label. Such memories.

  • Olly Reed was a DJ on UK TV for a while. No one beieves me.

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some trading cards of 1960's chart topping stars: Elvis Presley, Adam Faith, Cliff Richard, Billy Furry, Frank Sinatra, Lonnie Donegan, and Shirley Bassey.

  • Do you know about a film called What a Whopper"? This is another Adam Faith film, would love a clip from this film

  • *Swoon* Oliver does look hot in this. He reminds of Robby Benson a little. Thanks for posting this. :)
