This was the fight which was the turning point for Rashad's UFC career. Despite being smaller, he overcame all odds and did quite well. If they ever have a rematch, I think Rashad will end up winning. Since this fight, Rashad has drastically improved. His boxing and stand up has gotten better. Tito lost to Machida, and has had a 1 year layoff. Long layoffs really do affect a fighter's performance and motivation.

But Tito although a great wrestler also possesses an incredible submission game which is why he's able to do so much damage from an opponents guard. Tito isn't that bad off his back himself and that is why he the best ground and pounder, not because he's the greatest wrestler around. Most of these better wrestlers don't have even close to as full of a ground game as Tito does.

Well Tito chooses not to use his submissions and that's one of the biggest reasons his fights go the distance. You saw how quickly Tito pulled a guillotine choke as soon as Rashad took him down. He hasn't had to worry about others taking him down in all of his other fights except for with Randy. And honestly who cares if he isn't the best wrestler around. Wrestling isn't fighting. He got his takedowns on Rashad by outstriking him and setting his takedowns up with strikes.

You know, run them out of gas and beat on them for 15 minutes. If he were to use his submission skills it probably would be better for him but regardless he still has the ability to put his opponents away. I think Tito has the potential to beat any legit contender. Now its incredibly unlikely he would ever beat Fedor but it could still happen.
