  • i wish you the best of luck and hope that you succeed in the writting career. i also wish to become a writer and hope to become real famous one day and make movies and everything.

  • I love you cat! it's so cute, and it remind me of my Kitty cat ;P

Good luck finding an agent =D

  • Yes, A two page synopsis is very hard to write. I just experienced it with my novel, it's a little over 380 pgs. in manuscript form. It's actually 180 pgs. without manuscript form. Is it 448 pgs. without manuscript form? All I can say to that is damn. Just damn.

  • I just finished my novel too!

I've already sent out about six query letters. Gotta love copy and paste.

    ^.^

  • Good luck!

  • I started a novel (I'm 14), but I'm beginning to think I won't finish it. It's roughly 45,000 words and no where near the plot. If what you said about top number of words is 120,000 for the first time author, I don't think I'll make it. Either I give up on it (Easiest choice) or I finish and cut and rewrite a LOT! Oh well, good luck finding an agent. I really like what I've read/heard of your writing!

  • dont stop, and if you do get bored or come up with another idea, if needed, keep the other one your previously writing on hold or try and write it into the story, but think about it, very carefully first

  • I can't wait to read it.

Also, I love your cat's frequent cameos in your videos.

  • 448 pages? The most I've ever written was 160! Impressive.

  • Random question. Before you started writing, did you you write the backgrounds of your characters and how they're introduced? I do that like crazy.

  • I sent a letter out to an agency about 3 months ago and still haven't heard back. Do you know if this is bad or good? And I'm 14 do you think that this means a better shot or is it unrealistic?

  • It varies from agent to agent, but generally if you haven't heard from them by now you'll likely not hear from them at all. "Rejection by silence" is just a part of the business, unfortunately. Did you send them a SASE? Usually they say on their websites when you should expect a reply.

And if your writing is good, it shouldn't matter how old you are. They'll recognize talent when they see it.

  • Yes, it was in a SASE.

My dad called the agency 3 weeks ago and they said about 2-3 more weeks. haha.

  • GAwh I really want to read your freaking book. I seen your videos so I have a very very good idea of what its not going to be about XD so please please tell me when I can read your freaking book. that would be so awesome to see your book out their. I mean I talk to a author awesome. Whats the tittle going to be?

  • Something with the word "Dandelions" in it. I haven't decided yet.

  • Cool I am looking forward to that I am sure your going to post a video when you do get accepted.. I will be ... whats that word... something lol sorry I am just here for encouragement I really really hope you get it published it will be one less junk book out there to read.

  • When you figure out the name, could you tell us, so we can buy it? I know it'll be awesome.

Think! You'll have your own fanfic category if it gets popular enough!

  • That's cool. I've written a YA novel too and have sent some sample chapters to an agent. I'm a bit pessimistic about it's chances, I've never been a firm believer in my own writing talents despite what friends and family assure me. There's some romance, but my forte is action-comedy, so I lean towards that, and depict strong women who don't need men (unlike Bella Sue). Did you include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your query? They will reply if you include one, even a rejection.

  • The only agent I've queried so far wanted submissions by email only. So no, I haven't (yet).

  • Bah, I messed up the comment >_>

"Who are some of the agents you applied to? Just curious to see if your list is similar to mine XD my 'dream agent' works at the same agency as SMeyer's...and I'm kind of afraid that my dream agent might be 'buddy-buddy' or a fan of SMeyer and that...would be sad T_T"

  • I've only applied to one so far: Laura Rennert at the Andrea Brown Literary Agency. She's my dream agent, so I'm going to wait to hear from her (or not, they said they don't reply with rejection letters) before I query anyone else.

I'm going to hit up Meyer's agent at some point. Hopefully she won't let the fact that I dispise one of her clients count against me.

  • When it gets published, I'll buy it! Like it said your cat is amazing!

  • I'm working on it. I'm going to send out my first query today. Maybe I'll get incredibly lucky and nail it in one shot (but I doubt it). *knocks on wood*

  • *Shakes pompoms* GO SHMELIAROCKIE! RA RA!!!

  • I absolutly love your cat.

Good luck with your story, I can't wait to read it.

It was really 60 there? It's been around 20 here for the last few weeks... but there's still no snow.

  • Yeah, Kansas City has the craziest weather. One day it will be 60 and clear and the next an ice storm can roll in and cause power outages and stuff.

  • Who are some of the agents you applied to? Just curious to see if your list is similar to mine XD my 'dream agent' works at the same agency as SMeyer's...and I'm kind of afraid that my dream agent might be 'buddy-buddy' or a fan of SMeyer and that...would be sad T_T
