Thanks , i feel a bit lucky too , but it does have a few drawbacks 4 eg last night i killed a big (80 lb) wombat in my car , its very sad when that happens . There are other hassels too , drought , mice and rabbit plagues ,also spiders millipeeeds ,snakes and scorpions in the house .(most can kill you ) . i have a sore on my arm which could be a white tail spider bite . i'd rather be bitten by a cobra if it is .

No , they are not rare , only during cold conditions ,that is you never see them in winter .

I am amazed at the number of hits ths vid has had .i think its mainly due to Sonic and knuckles who i had never heard of b4 (i had to YT Sonic and knuckles :) .

Sorry i accidently licked removeinstead of reply There claws are around 3 inches,which they use 2 dig 4 ants .

When they sence a threat they just stop , bring there head in under their quills and dig straight down vey fast It is very hard to get a stick under their quills and the more you try the more they dig in ..If you try tograb one they will hiss and puff out very fast and spike you with their sharp quills .

Dogs and cats are no match 4 the Echidna .

They are a fairly desent sized animal ,up to 18 inches long (45cm) .they are super strong for there size .They have massive claws about 3 inches long .The sharp quills on its back are a good 3 inches .

When they sence a persons (or animals) presence they sort of flatten and dig and grab onto the dirt .I could bet anyone that they could not flip it over with just a stick ,they are that strong .
