I do agree with lothair about the translucence of the craft, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not a UFO obviously ufo means unidentified flying object and that's what that is, but in the context it's taken on in life that may be an alien lifeform in and of itself. We saw something very similar over Laguna Beach, CA tonight.(12.20.08) The center appeared to have numerous electrical-like bolts running through it and, with binoculars, we could see long "tenticles" trailing the center.
It did not appear solid like a spacecraft, but seemed more like a jellyfish-type creature. It hovered and then darted in either direction, and at one point went dark for a few seconds.
Did you ever find out more information about what it is in this video?

The colorization of the "cloud" was most likely because the sun was low on the horizon, thus the pinkish, red color. The total lack of any clearly defined sharp edges on the cloud are strong evidence that the object is nothing solid, but hazy such as a cloud would appear. To say that this obvious cloud is an unexplainable, mysterious object is absurd. Such clouds are very often posted here on YouTube and may be a rare form of color changing clouds seen before major earthquakes. Not anything else

You can see differences in pixels, among other things. You can view the video with software thats made to detect editing, which is what we used. You would be able to see inconsistencies in the video spectrum.
This video hasn't been edited or slowed down. Again, not saying its a UFO, but the footage IS authentic, no doubt.
