Awesome, I lived in Tripoli from 1950 to 1955, I was 7 years old when we left. I have been to these ruinsand have still photos of much of these ruins. I have some good memories of Tripoli. I wish I could go back but the travel agents warn you that Americans are the target of crime.

can you visit the libyan ruins easily and safely ? or do the locals "jihad" anyone wearing Western garb ?
