@chrispollock but I' m talking about recent and not so recent cases of prisoner abuse, or civilian kiliings, by US armed forces, not in US territory. I'm not saying that the culprit is all and every American, but some of them there are... I've read there have been attempts to restrict some civil rights, during Bush adm., disguised as "antiterrorism"; but, well, as I don't believe in "the land of opportunity", neither I think it's Orwell's 1984...

The point is not to go against the USA but in favor of different lifestyles and viewpoints, which are not as "evil" or "brutalized" as depicted to justify the usurpation of their resources.
