It's funny how many people who like PCs keep giving the lame excuse of "a mac cant play games" while you can go to steam and download a lot of games for mac like Assasins Creed, Counter Strike, Portal, Left for dead, and you can get COD, vice city and modern combat and much more on the apple store.
While you guys are taking out a second mortgage to buy a mac, I am taking my girlfriend to a nice dinner.
Good or not, they are way overpriced compared to what it costs them to make. An imac costs $200 in parts and building somewhere in china, they sell it for 1300. = huge profit out of your pocket.
I beg to differ. I had a PC it erased my data twice and was constantly breaking down and was the slowest thing i have ever been on. My Mac only broke once I took it into the store and they gave me a new one free of charge. And alot of people use Macs for graphics design, programming and alsorts, not for the stupid

@EatCraps Oh, I've only been working on computers for 15 years, have experienced working on both Macs, Dells, HPs, Gateway and ACER. Yes, Macs are PC (Personal Computers). All the others are Pathetic Computers.

In Houston and Austin, Macs were the mainstream. I use a Mac at home. I NEVER have problems with my Macs. Never. When I decide to buy a new Mac, I keep my old ones to let my wife use them She has 2 computers (a G3 and a G4) and they still run great.
That is not how it works. Companies like intel and amd make processors, ramsan makes disks, nVidia makes graphics cards and so on and so forth...
sony, dell, apple...simply take all the necessary components and put them together. Stick their logo on it and sell. But the same components, from the same manufacturers are inside.
You could (and this is what tech savy people do) order all the components yourself and put them together, which is a lot cheaper.
@azazelthe4 Mac is still a much better computer than any Windows machine (not qualified to be called a computer). ALL my Macs at home, even my 11 year old G3, run better than the 2 year old Dell hunk of junk I use at work.

As I have explained they are the EXACT SAME MACHINES, the only difference being the operating system. Macs OS is called leopard. You can download leopard and install it on your dell computer at work, just like you can take windows and install it on whatever apple computer you have at home.

In the 2 years I had my shitbook pro I needed 3 new batteries, 4 chargers, and 2 new CPU fans, as welll as a new graphics card.
I wish I understood why idiots pay top dollar for cheap parts with an apple logo on them.
Also, every graphic designer has been sucked into the bullcrap that macs are better for art.

The reason I use a Dell at work is because the parent company has idiots who want to save money buy buying piece of shit computers.

@azazelthe4 No, they aren't the exact same machines. Both Macs and PCs use Intel processors. Some PCs use AMD. Macs do not.
Macs are more than twice as fast at starting up and shutting down, faster at installing programs, twice as fast at program start up.
