I love pants that make sound when you kick. I practice Shaolin Kung Fu, and I bought wide pants, and I just love the sound it makes with every kick :P
Just saw a comment from two years ago * cough cough* top comments questioning the quality of the mentoring she had .... ermmmm okay if it was that bad she wouldn't be one of the most recognized female martial artists in the world and she wouldn't be able to do 212 kicks in 1 minuet .... to anyone who says any bad stuff please you go have a fight with her to see how bad her mentoring was ..... no didn't think so, soo shushh
@shawneesmithluva The comment you're referring to isn't critisising her mentoring, it's actually making the point that her school has likely ENCOURAGED proper training and doesn't 'rush' black belts up through the ranks for a high-level ranking before they're ready, like some schools seem to do. Her ranking really is NOT a reflection of her abilities...I agree, it's obvious that she's extremely skilled! It just may mean that her school requires a specific amount of time between each rank. :)
wait so shes teaching front kicks to people who want to do it for demo? or to people who want to learn how to fight? i mean thats a nice front kick, but not very practical
@andorfett i dont know is it karete or any other martial art but this kind of kicks, forward kicks always hard to block, believe me its very effective kick,it is same for punchs too.(english isnt my native language but i hope u get what i mean)
Why bother with your stupid threat.....I take it that you are jelous of a Girl who has spent year practicing her Martial Arts with dedication through thick and thin, through upset and joy. Taken numerous exams to get where she is now, a world Champion.....errr what have you got to show....bugger apart from a big mouth and obvious jelousey.
It's a weird accent. I mean, it's obviously English but every now and again, an American sounded word slips in and all around that, she seems to be trying to keep a natural scally accent held in:-)
I don't know anything about this girl/lady. I just accidentally found her fight seen with Dom Monaghan and followed the related vids. She's fantastic, isn't she! Proper talented!
Anyway, I presume she moved to America to hunt fame, which is why some words have a hint of Americana to them?
Hate to tell ya, buddy, but in legit schools, and not those bullshit rinky-dink schools you see from the roadside, you don't become a high-degree blackbelt for years. In legit taekwondo schools, you have to spend ten years as a blackbelt to get to fourth degree, and it takes at least five to get to black in the first place. The fact that SHE is "only" a second degree blackbelt really says plenty about the quality of the mentoring she had, more than anything else.
@spudlyff8fan yeah but she's a 2nd degree blackbelt in a widely inefficient fighting style. Look at this useless kick. Can you imagine using this on anybody in any sort of boxing stance? Assuming your opponent has his dukes up, you're just going to hit someone's arm and fall off-balance.
seriously 10 years' training isn't impressive in martial arts when you're basically doing glorified gymnastics.
But at the same time, being shorter makes perfecting your balance and precision in somewhat easier than if you're tall, like me. I'm taking Tae Kwon Do, and it took me awhile to find my own balance. The same goes for anything you do that involves great balance.

I would like to see her doing this practically in kumite. Don't think this is very useable, but fun to watch.

She's not bad, but her strongest feature is, in my opinion, her good form rather than her kicks!
Kicks aren't bad, but to me it looks like they're not really trained to hit in a fight for example... Or is she actually using them for competition?
Dicerox 2 years ago 2
after 17 years of training and all she is a 2nd Dan Black belt

Don't pivot the planted foot on a front kick. Looks great otherwise. Her balance is fantastic

its her way of kicking....and tang soo do is different from tae kwon do.....alot different....so it CAN be more effective in some cases

.. She may be alot shorter than the average person. Plus, being able to kick higher, practicing it, will make not so high kicks stronger.
