I got impressed with Emoto experiments. But I think that the word test should not be experimented as shown by Emoto and this video. Bad words simply written in pieces of paper cannot carry any kind of energy, my opinion. I think that the rice to be doomed should be in an environment with people with angry, rage and other bad feelings. The same analogy for the rice that will be graced.
This is a shitty experiment. It should be blinded. One would also need a control pair as well, where no words were written. How were the containers and rice handled, why only 1 sample rather than a large number for statistical purposes. How does one actually measure which is rotting and to what degree that isn't subjective? What about the form of the words, is it inside or outside thereby introducing more differing contaminants between samples etc. So shoddy.

This is an interesting example of unconscious bias, I think. At the beginning the rice is uncovered, and when you hold up the 'negative' container your fingers are inside it, but not when you hold up the 'positive' container. Also between 36 and 42 seconds you are holding the 'negative' container in front of your mouth while speaking. You don't do this with the 'positive' container. This would be enough to contaminate the 'negative' container with bacteria and fungi.
i only beleive this consciousness sh**, if someone does this 2000 times, at same overall conditions each run. if then its a clear result, i believe it. else it is just random trolling by the nature
A) Repeat the same experiment, but switch containers. The previously positive container now becomes negative, and vice versa. Could be one of the containers is not sealing as well as the other?
B) Take multiple samples instead of only one sample for each.
Yes, it s is scary. This rice experiment is stupid enough to make Beavis and Butthead look smart. Do the same thing without words, you will see that the two rice boxes will look VERY different. IDIOT.
I appreciate your effort, sir, but you cannot jump to conclusions after doing this poor experiment. If you compared two bowls without any kind of words attached to them, they'd still look different to eachother. If you truly want to link those 'positive' and 'negative' words with the rice's look after three weeks, take at least 10 samples of each one and compare. You only took one sample for each side, what kind of experiment is that?
thats complete bull, and god doesnt exist. Perhaps, this could happen from an actual persons' emotions while near the rice due to electric signals and what not being given off, but to think that mere ink in different patterns next to rice will change the rate of decomposition is obsurd
i tried it and it does work. if you think about it... that is why we pray to God, we pray over our food and our love ones. People... God is real. That is why it works. Try it for yourself. It's just cooked rice, containers and a little time. It doesn't feel good when someone speaks bad to you, but when someone praises you for a job well done or tells you how much they appreciates you... doesn't that feel good? Try it yourself and then post your results. Love and Peace yall!!!
I believe that blessed water is a good thing(how could it not be??) and believed it long before i heard of Dr. emoto. but this experiment only proves that one tub got more mold spores than the other and so developed accordingly. If you had say, three positive labeled jars and they ALL looked obviously better than three neg labeled tubs, that would say more. this experiment, as done, is doomed by the 50/50 chance that one tub (which?)will be better, but doesn't show consistence equaling proof.
not really a valid experiment. there was no control jar(one with no neg or pos words on it)that could later be compared to the two you have. When culturing mushrooms in sterile jars(all under same conditions) it is not unusual for some jars to look very different weeks later. Like your rice(grain)tubns, mushroom culture jars have water; grain and are set aside for weeks. Basically the same experiment. Again...results can vary greatly.
I think it has something to do with the sense of being stared at, witch is the title of a book by Rupert Sheldrake and I think you might be interested in Dean Radin's talks on the effects of human intention on random number generators.
Dr. Emoto is the shit! i hope everybody can start opening up to concepts like this. even a clock thats broken is right twice a day. if you feel me on that. there is no right or wrong with work like this, there is only clues to truth.
anyways, anyone know the music in the background? props to the dude who posted this and his taste in music. haha
Ok so I did it.. It has been 3 months and both jars are not moldy. Here is why, when we speak to the bad rice jar, we say a bad word to the jar, but our intentions our purely good so both jars are not moldy lol
@alizzzzzza The point key here Alicia, is "AIR". Air trapped inside the two containers is very important, which will determinate bacteria & mold of each container.
The room temperature, decontamination and its cleanness (room & containers) are also important facts....if the "experiment" were to be conducted it in a "lab"...trust me, the decomposition would have been the same.
Did you noticed that there aren't any control group in the experiment?
cool of you to post. since I don't want to be a pooh pooh, I prefer to take the results for what they are. do you think it's possible to charge fruit with positive effect just by having it in a bowl with positive words? did you have new boxes to have the rice in or were they just prewashed?
OMG that is so cool! Thanks for sharing :) I just asked a Q on Yahoo Answers about the affect negativity would have on fruits since they are 90 % water. This is so interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I don't doubt this, but it would've been a more conclusive experiment if several containers were used due to variations in quantity of normal surface bacteria, etc .
This presumes that mold or decomposition is a negative thing. Ecologically speaking, it is very important for the health of a multitude of species including humans. I like Dr. Emoto's work, however, this experiment I find to be rather one dimensional and not necessarily considerate of a broader ecological scope. It seems that most of Dr. Emoto's work is not anthropocentric, so this particular experiment doesn't really fit.
@bryandondero since the experiment is kind of based on intention...and that our thoughts have power and can affect the composition of things like rice plants ect... it could be the person conducting the experiment that is associating negativity with decay that is affecting the rice in that way... maybe a person conducting the experiment with the assumptions that decomposition is a positive thing would have diff results
impressive. works. just recently also saw the result of a friend of mine's test. after two years. the "loved" rice still white, the "hated" rice pitchblack. let's be careful with our words towards everybody.
what if i write some words in diffenret languages? i believe some positive words in one language can be negative in another language. what should the rice do in that case?
@ChaosN It is all based off the intention or meaning of the words, not the language. If I wrote love in English on one container and the wrote love in Japanese on another then they would most likely yield the same results because the word love still has the same meaning or intention for both languages.
Ok, you did it once, but can it be replicated again and again. In other words just one experiment is not suitable to form a conclusion. Also our own personal preferences and expectations can have an effect of the experiment, they need to be covered up so that you don't know which one is the negative and which is the positive, make it a blind study.
People forget how much we actually practice this concept everyday. We say thank you for a better effect on people. We say I love you to people we care for and it makes them (in a way) feel good. We express our intent and feelings but the direct them for an important reason. Because they need to reach the corresponding recipient. Whether it be positive or negative. Have you ever had a family pet that liked some people and other did not?
Im gonna try a clear cover instead. Or at least some seran wrap. The blue covers were a nuisance! But I do appreciate your taking time to conduct and post your experiment on YT.
I urge those who view this video to open their minds to truth. Stop believing in things because they sound nice, trigger your emotions, or give you warm fuzzies. Look at the basic facts. Dr Emoto's degree is from an unaccredited institution in India. Dr Emoto claims water is the only medium that can carry vibration , and that water is in all things. Anyone with a basic understanding of Chemistry knows this is a blatantly false statement. Dr Emoto is an entrepreneur, not a scientist.
I have these words on paper and in every room..LOVE YOU..BLESS YOU..THANK YOU..and in my fridge..my food lasts so much longer..and say these words over food that I cook, and water we drink!! Peace, Love, Blessings & Healing to the Universe, Earth, Plants, Animals and Humans..say this over and over every day!!
Very interesting. I'm assuming the intention of the words were directed at the rice. I wonder what would happen if the intention of the words were directed towards the bacteria and mold. Would that result in an opposite outcome in the form of the results because the bacteria and mold would thrive when having love directed toward them and languish under the influence of hatred? I'm inclined to think so. I'd love to see you do this again from that perspective.
@webfredster... Good question... But this whole experiment is designed to show the immense effects that words have on WATER, and the water is in the RICE, not so much the bacteria and mold
@webfredster Really interesting point, I think the intention of the words were directed towards the water within the rice though, not the rice itself...
Wow huge sample size! One container could have easily had more or less initial contamination. Use a larger sample size, test your null hypothesis & decide on your p value in advance. Once done repeat the experiment, to ensure that your results weren't a fluke.
Hey, I know something about how you can make your rice experiment more successful next time. Instead of adding water to the rice, add some strychnine. Then eat it. As your dying and you retarded life is draining out of your body, then I wanna hear more of your retarded, useless narration on the effects your feeling. Only this time, it'll actually be worthwhile.
Masaru Emoto explains in a interview with the 'Good Times': 'My theory and research is not yet reached science and I should say it is more like fantasy.'
I did this experiment with a positive container, negative container and a control container I didn't do anything with just to see what would have happened anyway. All three slowly went off at exactly the same rate.
I think this guy made up his mind at the beginning and has rigged this.
Also, he's testing for INTENT, but since this was done experimentally there can be no 'emotion' behind the words, so you can't even prove that's what is affecting the rice.
Thank you Andrew (Archeat2k) for this video. Since I became aware of the work of Masaru Emoto a few years ago, I always bless all my water/fluids and food with lots of love, light, energy & healing. I recently managed to obtain Masaru Emoto's Water Crystal Oracle, the 48 pictures are amazing with regards to his experiments with water, thoughts, feelings and how its affected with them and more e.g certain types of music, places, pollution etc. Lots of Love Misscpb xxx
Well it looks like negative emotions promote the spread of life! Obviously the negative words must have made the rice more nourishing for those bacteria. I'm gonna start shouting at my food next time I eat Asian. Actually I think I'll just start shouting at all my food!
@ArmaDino22 I did and it didn't work - got a positive, negative and control container. All went off at the same rate. I think this guy has rigged his "experiment".
We all need to wake up to what this sort of thing is teaching us about reality. At the moment science is really struggling to leave consciousness out of the equation because awareness is what reality really is at it's most fundamental level. No this doesn't follow correct scientific procedure but these sort of experiments are really showing what the flaws of scientific process are. Without an observer the universe only exists as waves of possibilities, only consciousness can collapse the wave.
That's very presumptuous of you to say such a thing. Just because something hasn't been scientifically proven, doesn't mean there's "zero truth to it," it just means it's someone's opinion based on what they've researched, just like anything you say is your conclusion based on what you know. It is my opinion that these kinds of experiments are teaching us something new about reality that doesn't fit in within our current paradigm. I'd like to see this experiment done properly too.
Well, there is a difference between an opinion based on a poorly performed trial and an opinion based on a properly conducted experiment. When you try this double-blind it doesn't work neither it does when you measure the amounts of water, rice etc and the resultant bacteria and fungus found in each container. This doesn't promote rigorous, critical, evidence-based thinking, it is pure pseudoscience. Reality is much more stranger, elegant and beautiful than this. People deserve better, =)
@jaylinsa you are right. There are many fundamentalists in scientist who try their best to shut out the relationship between consciousness and QT. But this is not new. Nearly every breakthrough in scientific understanding is either ridiculed at first, or stumbled up on by accident
I mean when people philosophised about the earth being round they got laughed at
I tried this experiment but used 3 jars.. the third one I ignored completely and wrote nothing on the jar. The ignored jar after 1 month was so disgusting.. the hate jar very moldy and the love jar still clear.. I added water to the rice and the water in the love jar was still clean and mold free. the ignore was definitely the worst. I guess negative attention IS better then no attention..
yes i am on the second go and the jars have been cleaned, refilled and rearranged and yet the ignore jar is still getting yellow and moldy.. when this one is finished i will again do it and rearrange again..i have no scientific background whatsoever.. just seeing results I never expected.. who knew.. :) but I don't argue with anyone elses opinions.. as you wish...
I'm curious now..... I want to try that experiment and put it somewhere in the kitchen where everyone can see.. cuz I have a big family, so therefore lots of emotions while reading the labels etc.... did you do the same? or was the rice sucking up emotions from the internet the whole 3 weeks =P ?????
What wonderfully done experiment, no sanitary/controlled conditions, no control, no repetition, and no regard for scientific legitimacy or technique overall.
Also, why "+" effect sterility and the "-" effect growth? Because it's what you wanted? Seems to me the "-" rice had a "+" effect on life and growth while the "+" rice "-" effect: And, what was done DURING the "experiment?" Did you project emotions at each every day measuring time, how close together, temp., light, etc.?
Pseudoscience is just fine if you're trying to impress a lay person like niledragon2006. Actual science takes actual work.
thank u for this vedio for all who disagree with this i could say iam a doctor & and i did this experiment of microbiological lab and the result are the same people who disagree without experience are like worms eats good ideas and give us just shit ...greetings from Egypt
when you write "evil" you're surely thinking in a bad mood! and surely when you write "love" you wouldn't be in a bad mood... that's the influence YOU give to what you write... it is not the phrase itself, it's what you're thinkin in that moment!! it may appear strange, but it is not!
That's because mold is a jerk and cussing builds its morale as a culture. Try writing something profane on a bottle of penicillin to get rid of that next cold double quick.
because the connotation of the rice rotting is negative along with said words, if the connotation of rice rotting was good then maybe it would have grown easier in the positive bin?
But your ignorance makes your theory flawed. Does mold not need Water to thrive? Rethink your little theory and come back when you've checked every variable.
i think this has to do more on a philosophical level. theses words are positive and negative to us humans... and moldy rice is bad for human consumption. maybe if you do the experiment with your thought process you will get the opposite result... im not saying that any of this isn't complete and utter bs i for one am going to try it myself.
i suggest you do your experiment with your thought process and you give the guidelines of the experiment to a friend (that does not know about any of this) and have them do the same.
this is in addition to my previous reply to your reply to this vid
Antibiotics and vaccines have been the single most important factor that has extended the life expectancy of humans...what about penicillium...the saprobic fungus that grows on decaying organic matter and has given us the most important antibiotic in history? Life and the earth and everything have evolved together, and until we realize this intimate connection with everything around us, and the role we play and have played in it no real conceptual advances will be made.
That´s about point of view... What if i think that the negative container was better for it gave more life. After all there is more mold in it. The positive was pretty much steril. Now is that because you thought that rotting faster was bad? So if you think that rotting faster is good because it carries more life, will it bring the opposite result??
Also, well your at it, do your research on the effects of fluoride in our drinking water.....
Lower IQ's, ADHD, Cancers, Calcification of the Pineal Gland, Bone Brittleness, Speeding Up Aging, Earlier Puberty ....just to name a few.... are not worth the sacrifice for slightly harder teeth if you ask me.
Must watch> "Water: The Great Mystery" find it over on google video.
Same experiment is done in laboratory conditions using thoughts, the result was even more dramatic.Other experiments are also done which show that thoughts really do effect the structure of water, the structures form is caused by the vibrations/frequencies of our thoughts. Just like how vibration can give geometric form to matter in cymatics experiments.
So then, it's best to have positive thoughts whilst cooking, using water to ensure better quality of our food. Could humanities collective thoughts affect the world oceans and weather maybe? Something to think about & research. Thanks for filming your rice experiment.
The energy from the wavelength of thought is by far the most powerful instrument to connect us. Imagination' is the worst word, because every thought is indeed real.
The James Randi Educational Foundation has offered Emoto a million dollar prize if he can demonstrate his water messages using double-blind testing techniques (wherein the photographer looking at the crystals doesnt know how theyve been treated beforehand). Emoto has so far refused.
Nor has Mr. Emoto ever published a peer-reviewed article in a reputable scientific journal.
In Proverbs 18:21 in the Bible it clearly states "Death and life are in the power of the tongue..." :)

A) Repeat the same experiment, but switch containers. The previously positive container now becomes negative, and vice versa. Could be one of the containers is not sealing as well as the other?
B) Take multiple samples instead of only one sample for each.

@gasjatt Why dont you do the experiment yourself? And stop telling other people to do how you say it is.
If you dont experience for yourself, will never see it and will be always in your own way.

i like how he did an interesting experiment i just have one comment maybe you could have used an un-marked bowl of rice as a control
riroku26795 1 year ago

If you had say, three positive labeled jars and they ALL looked obviously better than three neg labeled tubs, that would say more. this experiment, as done, is doomed by the 50/50 chance that one tub (which?)will be better, but doesn't show consistence equaling proof.
shoegooguru 1 year ago
not really a valid experiment. there was no control jar(one with no neg or pos words on it)that could later be compared to the two you have. When culturing mushrooms in sterile jars(all under same conditions) it is not unusual for some jars to look very different weeks later. Like your rice(grain)tubns, mushroom culture jars have water; grain and are set aside for weeks. Basically the same experiment. Again...results can vary greatly.

Also, ffs, at least try to be a little unbiased...

Ok so I did it.. It has been 3 months and both jars are not moldy. Here is why, when we speak to the bad rice jar, we say a bad word to the jar, but our intentions our purely good so both jars are not moldy lol
alizzzzzza 1 year ago

I don't doubt this, but it would've been a more conclusive experiment if several containers were used due to variations in quantity of normal surface bacteria, etc .
BiologicalUnit2380 1 year ago
This presumes that mold or decomposition is a negative thing. Ecologically speaking, it is very important for the health of a multitude of species including humans. I like Dr. Emoto's work, however, this experiment I find to be rather one dimensional and not necessarily considerate of a broader ecological scope. It seems that most of Dr. Emoto's work is not anthropocentric, so this particular experiment doesn't really fit.
bryandondero 1 year ago
@bryandondero since the experiment is kind of based on intention...and that our thoughts have power and can affect the composition of things like rice plants ect... it could be the person conducting the experiment that is associating negativity with decay that is affecting the rice in that way... maybe a person conducting the experiment with the assumptions that decomposition is a positive thing would have diff results

what if i write some words in diffenret languages? i believe some positive words in one language can be negative in another language. what should the rice do in that case?
ChaosN 1 year ago
@ChaosN It is all based off the intention or meaning of the words, not the language. If I wrote love in English on one container and the wrote love in Japanese on another then they would most likely yield the same results because the word love still has the same meaning or intention for both languages.

Ok, you did it once, but can it be replicated again and again. In other words just one experiment is not suitable to form a conclusion. Also our own personal preferences and expectations can have an effect of the experiment, they need to be covered up so that you don't know which one is the negative and which is the positive, make it a blind study.
jhhwild 1 year ago
People forget how much we actually practice this concept everyday. We say thank you for a better effect on people. We say I love you to people we care for and it makes them (in a way) feel good. We express our intent and feelings but the direct them for an important reason. Because they need to reach the corresponding recipient. Whether it be positive or negative. Have you ever had a family pet that liked some people and other did not?

I urge those who view this video to open their minds to truth. Stop believing in things because they sound nice, trigger your emotions, or give you warm fuzzies. Look at the basic facts. Dr Emoto's degree is from an unaccredited institution in India. Dr Emoto claims water is the only medium that can carry vibration , and that water is in all things. Anyone with a basic understanding of Chemistry knows this is a blatantly false statement. Dr Emoto is an entrepreneur, not a scientist.

I'd love to see you do this again from that perspective.

it has nothing to do with sterilizing and everything to do with control and emotional content.
You expect the mold, the point is by giving emotional content you can effect change.
All sorts of people with opinions and never tried.
Oh and I debunked your debunked guy because he has contradictions of how he even did it.

I hope this is a real phenmomenum, but I will be a little critical about this guy's experiment.
Did he sterlize the container and lids because if he didn't then it only takes a tiny bit of bacterium inside the container to start decomposition.
This also happens if the lid is not AIR tight as bacterium can be air bourne too.

Without an observer the universe only exists as waves of possibilities, only consciousness can collapse the wave.
jaylinsa 2 years ago
... Do you know what the scientific method is about?
Sorry but your comment is pure rhetoric and zero truth.
DavidBaute 2 years ago
That's very presumptuous of you to say such a thing. Just because something hasn't been scientifically proven, doesn't mean there's "zero truth to it," it just means it's someone's opinion based on what they've researched, just like anything you say is your conclusion based on what you know. It is my opinion that these kinds of experiments are teaching us something new about reality that doesn't fit in within our current paradigm. I'd like to see this experiment done properly too.
jaylinsa 2 years ago
Well, there is a difference between an opinion based on a poorly performed trial and an opinion based on a properly conducted experiment. When you try this double-blind it doesn't work neither it does when you measure the amounts of water, rice etc and the resultant bacteria and fungus found in each container. This doesn't promote rigorous, critical, evidence-based thinking, it is pure pseudoscience. Reality is much more stranger, elegant and beautiful than this. People deserve better, =)
DavidBaute 2 years ago
@jaylinsa you are right. There are many fundamentalists in scientist who try their best to shut out the relationship between consciousness and QT. But this is not new. Nearly every breakthrough in scientific understanding is either ridiculed at first, or stumbled up on by accident

ah hell, i'm doing this, just to show that it makes no fuckin difference what words you put there.
think for a second:
dead rice+water
mold spores (alive and well, from the air)
the GOOD box:
mold grows slower = either the live mold and bacteria are killed by kind words (wtf) or the rice is made WORSE as a nutrient
the BAD box:
mold thrives. great nutrition from the rice. chances are that rice is better for you to eat, right ?
and why isn't the living MOLD affected instead of the dead rice?

the point is that it's the same rice. It's our intention affecting the rice, and moldy rise is worse FOR US.

HiiAmHeidi 2 years ago
That´s about point of view... What if i think that the negative container was better for it gave more life. After all there is more mold in it. The positive was pretty much steril. Now is that because you thought that rotting faster was bad? So if you think that rotting faster is good because it carries more life, will it bring the opposite result??

Must watch> "Water: The Great Mystery" find it over on google video.
Same experiment is done in laboratory conditions using thoughts, the result was even more dramatic.Other experiments are also done which show that thoughts really do effect the structure of water, the structures form is caused by the vibrations/frequencies of our thoughts. Just like how vibration can give geometric form to matter in cymatics experiments.
